Highstones/Mothermouth

The place where you're closest to StarClan. A huge, underground cavern with a large crystal, the Moonstone, in the middle. When the moon is right, the crystal lights and sparkles. When arriving, you must walk down the large, cramped underground pathway with barely any light. Then when you get there, you must wait. When the crystal begins to sparkle, you lay down and put your nose to the crystal and close your eyes. There you receive dreams from StarClan. When travelling to the Moonstone you cannot eat anything- even travelling herbs.

New leaders go here, as well apprentices for one trip and Medicine Wolves go here every half moon. Once you end the dream, you do not tell anyone what you saw. Leaders come here to receive their nine lives and for guidance.

Lightpaw sighed as she had slso realized their mentor had disappeared.
"Maybe. But his scent leads to the old Shadowclan camp...." the light brown she-wolf said slightly confused.
Why had her mentor gone to the Shadowclan camp? Was the sick pup there? She sighed out of pure confusion.
"Lets follow his scent." She said. And with that, she headed to the Shadowclan camp.
-Old Shadowclan Camp-

Snowflower looked around. She looked wide eyed at the moonstone. "How nice..."she said, admiring the area. She looked around for Brokenlare. Thinking she was coming, the deputy touched her nose to the stone.

Brokenglare padded in calmly. She looked around amused. "So this is the Moonstone...", she said as she saw the big shining crystal. A small spark lighted up her eyes. This place...this is one of the places I dreamed about going to as a pup, it is just as beautiful as I imagined., she thought happily. She saw Snowstar, stand by it, touching her nose at it. Brokenglare walked over and watched excited.

The newly named Snowstar woke up with a yawn. But something striked her as odd. She scented another, other than Brokenglare and herself. The snowy white far looked to Brokenglare and motioned for her to stand up. "Who are you?"the tired female asked the stranger. "oh...a dog."she said.

Brokenglare saw her leader wake up, probably after receiving her nine lives. As she heard a dog get mentioned, she turned around. "What in Starclan's name is this dog doing here? And how did he find this place?", she asked in a less amused tone and flicked her ear.

Snowstar nodded. "Yes. That's true."she murmured. Still mourning for her dead love and former leader, Snowstar sighed. "You can follow us back to our territory to discuss this matter."she said. The fae then stood up again. "Shall we go now?"she looked questioning lay at both of them.

"Let's go then, Brokenglare, Jaime."she said. The fae turned her white furred body to the back of the entrance once more. She then started walking. "To WindClan camp."she said and exited the highstones. She yawned as she walked on.

-WC camp-

Brokenglare looked once at Jaime, the followed Snowstar to the camp. Another dog, huh? she thought as she walked. I wonder what kind of shelter our camp will end up as... she thought and turned her head to take a quick look at Jaime before turning back. Let's just hope he's strong, his scars must have been for something, at least...

~The camp of the wind~

Gentleheart arrived and sat at the entrance of the cave, to wait for the other two who had come with her. She looked inside and all she saw was darkness, she could feel the cold breeze coming from the inside. This did not help to calm her nerves. She wondered how she would feel, and the responsibility she would have when all of this was over. She really hoped that being leAder would change her, and if it did hopefully it would be for the better. She want to make her clan proud, she wanted them to be loyal, have honor, and for everyone to really get along. She wanted them to be proud that Sunclan was their home.

The white wolf trailed after his new leader, her fast moving legs told him that, though she hoped to get to the Moonstone as quickly as possible, she was still nervous. The journey did not faze him, though even he admitted to himself that it was hard to keep pace with the more lithe female wolf in front of him. The moon was beginning to rise when they finally reached the cave, and soon his steps slowed and their sound faded as he sat down beside her. Gentleheart's features were of worry or nervousness still. "Are you frightened of what will happen now, or what comes after?" Morningsun asked, watching the rusted wolf with golden eyes.

The small gray apprentice walked up and sat down watching the moon rise in the sky, her lilac eyes glittered and she said "once we enter we must be silent, Morningsun, you must wait here. This is a journey for medicine wolf and Deputy" she had an odd aura to her. As if this was the thing that she was born to do. She blinked seeing starclan wolves for a breif moment before they vanished instantly. She sighed and stepped forward saying to gentleheart "you will be a good leader, and the embodiedment of sunclan come forth now" she lead the way down the cramped dark dank hole. Her paws guiding her though the suffocating darkness until they found the moonstone. She sat down and indicated with her tail that they would wait. As the moon passed over head the light touched down sending the moonstone alight with brilliance. She nodded indicating to Gentleheart that she should lay down and touch her nose to the stone. Aurorapaw lay down her face calm and unshakeable. She leant forward touching her nose to the cold stone. Feeling the ground slip away underneath her she let out a soft sigh.

(Loyalty, courage, kindness, justice, love, strength, protection, energy, and endurance)
Gentleheart tuned as Morningsun and Aurorapaw arrived. " I'm nervous for after." She said before nodding and following the medicine wolf apprentice I side of the cave. She followed her down and watched as the moonlight hit the stone. 'Wow, it's so beautiful.' She thought to herself before she laid down and touched her nose to the cold stone. Then she felt like she was on clouds, and her tense shoulders relaxed.

A sigh was released from Morningsun's jaws, though he resigned himself to staying outside of the cave. He thought, for a moment, whether he could sneak in after them while they were speaking to StarClan- at least to get a little look. Curses or other danger did not scare him, but he yearned to see the stone that glowed brilliantly, a light in the darkness. He gave Gentleheart a smile of encouragement, wishing her luck on this oncoming adventure. She would walk in a warrior, and out as a leader. The large white male imagined himself doing the same someday.

The two soon disappeared into the rock's yawning depths. He also walked over to the entrance, though did not step inside. He tried to discern anything from the point he was standing at, but all he could see was a path of rock that grew narrower as it went. The white wolf felt no envy for the small space that the two wolves had to go into as it wormed itself underneath the earth. Humming a simple tune, the warrior sat by the entrance and looked up at the moon and the stars.

Gentleheart:

You feel a light warmth on your fur, beckoning you to open your eyes and view the meadow that surrounds you now. Mountains loom in the distance, silent guardians that remind you of SunClan's own home. Pairs of blinking eyes look at you, and you suddenly feel uncomfortable, your nervousness returning quickly. Standing up as fast as possible you say nothing, not knowing what is expected of you. Soon enough a wolf steps forward- a lithe, earth-colored wolf that you recognize as Direstar. His children still remain in SunClan, you know, and you hope that the male has found peace in this afterlife.

"Welcome, Gentleheart," he says, stepping even closer and looking at you with a mischievous glint in his eye. He looks as fit as ever- as if in the apex of his youth. "StarClan welcomes you as the newest leader of SunClan. Lead them well, for a great danger is approaching that will affect everyone in the forest- and even those beyond. You will be receiving nine lives- nine gifts that will aid you in order to protect your wolves as best as you can. The first life i give you is that of endurance. Use it to overcome what lies ahead." Direstar then stepped forward, putting his head on top of yours. You felt like the mountains, the rivers, and the valleys, those that have watched the earth grow and change from the beginning. The eternal.

He steps back, saying nothing more, and another wolf quickly replaces him. You recognize this wolf to be Oakthorn, a once-great warrior of SunClan. Stepping forward, he says, "I give you the gift of justice. Treat all others fairly and they may come to respect you."

A third wolf then steps forward- a female, larger than most with brilliant green eyes and light-colored fur. "I give you the gift of love. Only give it to those who deserve it." A fierce passion rushes through your body, threatening to force you to the ground. Then it quickly fades, though the female's voice that reminds you of spring remains for a few seconds after. You manage to pull yourself together, steadying yourself for this next life. Three had already been given to you... Five more remain.

Another male wolf approaches you. He is none you recognize. "I give you strength. Use it well." Nothing more is said, and he is soon replaced by another male wolf. "I give you a life of energy. You will need this in times to come."

A female wolf steps forward. "I give you the gift of loyalty. Show this to your pack mates, and they will follow you truly." Another female wolf follows. "I give you protection. Use it for others as well as yourself, against those that mean you harm."

Only two more lives remained now. You notice the sky becoming darker, a smell that you recognize from somewhere reaches your nostrils, but you can't quite place it.

"I give you kindness. Even the worst deserve this." Then the last life. "I give you courage in face of adversity."

Then it was all over. Your nine lives had been received. Darkness begins to surround you and soon enough you feel the cold stone floor under your paws once more... The curious scent still remains on your skin and nostrils for a few moments longer until fading to a mere memory.

Aurorapaw

You feel nothing for a long while, as if StarClan was making no connection with you. Then soon enough you feel something grab your scruff and pull you roughly to your feet. Your eyes snap open and you snarl, turning and feeling threatened at the sudden intrusion. There was nothing there, only darkness.

You can see a light in the distance so you begin to walk towards it. It is harsh and white, nothing like the yellow natural light you are so used to from the sun. Pain begins to feel your body and you close your eyes for a moment, attempting to steady your walk that began to wobble. You lose your balance, falling down, feeling some cold surface beneath your body. Looking down you see that not all of your appendages are there- one of your legs are completely gone. The pain emanates from there, even though there is no source. When it threatens to blind you, you lay down and whimper, closing your eyes again. When you awaken you see the crystal, now dark.

Gentlestar wakes up and is a little overwhelmed but recovers. Then she hears a whimper beside her come from Aurorapaw. Worried you nudge her with your nose, "Aurorapaw, wake up. Are you okay, please wake up." She knows not to wake someone up from visiting with Starclan but the apprentice sounded like she was in pain. She wondered if it had anything to do with what is going to happen in the future.

Aurorapaw shot up her ears pinned back, what was that dream about? why was one of her legs gone? why did it hurt? all of the questions flowed through her mind. She checked her leg and sighed relived to see that it was still there. She looked up at Gentlestar questions in her eyes, she flicked her tail toward the entrance and lead the way out. her paws shook underneath her she constantly felt like she was going to collapse. She desperatly wanted another medicine wolf to talk to but she didn't know where to go. Her mind made itself up to go to Twistedfoot of Stormclan, as soon as she got out of the tunnel she whispered "i have to speak with another medicine wolf"

Gentlestar was relieved when Aurorapaw woke up. She was still worried but figured that she would tell her in time. She followed her out of the cave. "The closes one would be stormclan. I'm going to go with you, for I have some questions that I would like answered." Turning to Morningsun, "you can come with us."

Morningsun still hummed tunelessly, his tail flicking back and forth in the dirt. He tried to evade what was coming to his mind- to ignore the fact that he was alone now. The male even decided that he would rather be accompanied by another Clan wolf than be the lone protector that he now was. Time seemed to pass slowly, and the moon began to disappear, replaced by the sun with a fire-y dawn that accompanied it. Only then did Gentlestar and Aurorapaw come from the belly of the earthen beast- Morningsun thought they would not for a while- both looking rather on edge. He sent them a questionable look, then heard what Aurorapaw was speaking of. Did something go wrong down there?

The male nodded at the two. He heard of StormClan- of their distrust and hated of wolves of other Clans. It was pointless, and if he had to put a couple wolves in line he would... gladly. Standing up, and trying to control himself, he looked at the other two and waited for their word.

Gentlestar was rather worried about what Starclan had told her. She wondered if the other leaders one about this. " thank you Morningsun, for keeping guard." "We will leave from here to go to stormclan, and since this is an urgent matter, we will go straight to the camp." She got up and bounded down the slope, heading for stormclan. 'Hopefully they can shed some light on this.' She said to herself.
