Echopaw stayed quiet. She sighed, got out of the den, and padded towards Otterpup.
"We can play now of you'd like." Echopaw offered. She had suddenly felt protective over the pup; she was expectant afterall. She smiled at the pup; wanting to just relax and play like she did when she was just a pup herself.

He ignored the warrior. "Hey Echo lets play or something. I am so bored." He wanted to play and be like a pup. He missed thoses days.

Echopaw raised a brow at Storm just as she had announced he wanted to play.
"Ill be right back Otter, I promise; tell Todd to save my spot!" The she-wolf exclaimed; trying to be happy when she was truly upset.
"Storm, I think we need to talk." Echopaw said; then headed for Great Scyamore.
(No one follow please except for Hawkpool if she wants, we have a plot going on.)

Oh no not this again! He though. But he followed like an obedient dog. He followed her to the Great sycamore.

Otterpup blinked then nodded "ok! you have first spot echopaw!" he announced then turned batting his paw at Todd with a playful paw. he leapt yipping and bounced on the mossball rolling onto his back he chewed on it making various pup noises.

Hawkpool quickly made her way to camp. She noticed Otterpup play with a ball of moss. She sighed and went to the warrior's den. She laid down and curled up.

Echopaw padded in only to see Otterpup playing. She watched him roll around with the ball with laughter. She smiled; joy taking over her angry moodswing. She smiled and waited for him to pass it to her.

Otterpup looked up and his silly face crinkled up "here catch" With a swing of his tail he smashed the ball over to the apprentice. his ears perked up as he watched her. she was his third friend. first being Falcon, then rain then her. he laughed happily his voice echoing around camp.

Stormpaw ran into camp. He saw Echo and otter playing. He was so tired. He walked over to the fresh kill pile grabbed a rabbit and went to the apprentice den. He ate the rabbit and fell asleep.

Echopaw caught it; sinking in her rarley exposed claws into the green fluff. She kicked it over; hearing the pup laugh, she laughed too. At that moment she felt little kicks and smiled.

He leapt up as it soared over and caught it in his mouth, his eyes glittered as he noticed the grumpy apprentice. he landed and wagged his tail happily, he enjoyed playing around. he wondered where falconwing was. he wanted to play with pappy and echopaw. he grinned then lightly ran over to her and batted hernose with a paw "you can't catch me!" he challenged her before he darted off.

He dreamt of his life before. With his sisters and brother. They had loved him. But they didn't love him now.

Echopaw saw the pup catch the ball; she was a bit dumbfounded at the accurate catch. The she-wolf watched as he batted her nose and said;
"You cant catch me!"
Smiling because she knew he was right; she padded after him anyway.

He would stop every now and then and wag his tail enthusiastically, he ran around her a couple of times then out of energy already he flopped down and panted happily. he grinned around he loved this place, he felt like he was in a real family. something tugged at his heart, a warm sunny place hovered in his memory, a memory of other pups playing beside him and a white wolf licking him. he shrugged shaking his head free of the memory he thought it was a daydream and playfully growled at Echopaw/.

Echopaw smiled as she caught up to the playful pup. She heard him growl playfull at her. She pawed Todd & scooped him up with a fore- paw then tossed it near the fresh-kill pile.
"Can you get that without waking up Stormpaw?" She challenged, a puppish glint in her eyes.

Stormpaw woke suddenly from his night mare. He had dreamed that the world had turned to blood and hate. He hoped that would never happen. He would tell Feathersoul when she got back

(He was in the apprentice den)

He yipped "you betcha!". he got up and began comically teetering over toward the fresh kill pile on the tips of his paws. his tail held out to stop him from falling over, he had a puppish look of determination, as well as his tongue out and begin clampedon by his jaws. he managed to sneak over ot it and grab it. he paused to throw an uneasy glare at stormpaw before he dashed back over to echopaw. unable to stop in time he crashedinto her with a yelp.

Echopaw stumbled and plumented onto the ground. There was a "boom" as she crashed into the dirt. She struggled to get up but she felt furious kicks. Echopaw bit back what seemed to be a thousand yelps to her. Echopaw couldn't get up; but she nudged Otter up.

Stormpaw saw Echo fall to the ground. He ran over. "Don't be so ruff with her! She is still hurt you know!" He helped her up. "Are you alright Echo?"

Otterpup whimpered as the wolf yelled at him, he cried "i didnt mean to!" his eyes filled with tears before he leapt up nipping Stormpaw and running away with todd in his jaws. he ran into the nursery and curled up crying. why did that big fluffwit have to ruin everything?

"Stormpaw I'm fine. It was just an accident." Echopaw said nudging him. She saw Otterpup running and crying.
"I'll be right back." She said as she padded towards the pup. As she arrived in the familiar den she said;
"Its okay Otterpup, you didn't hurt me! It was actually pretty fun!"

He looked up at her and walked over saying "why is that fluffface so mean to me Echopaw? why dosent he like me?" he watched the meanie behind through eyes taht were beginning to brown. he licked his nose and snuggled into echopaws fur. his eyes watching Stormpaw with resentment. why was he so mean.

Echopaw sighed and wrapped her tail comfortingly around the pup.
"You see, Stormpaw is scared of me getting hurt. Its not your fault Otterpup, hes just very protective. Like Falcon and I are to you. Hes been quite restless and stressed lately." Echopaw said soothingly trying to comfort the small pup.

Copperstream dragged the doe back into camp and placed it on the fresh kill pile, henoticed the gathering dusk and lay down preparing himself for his vigil. he practically beamed with excitement as he rested amongst his clan mates. he watched otterpup and echopaw interact and smiled.
