Windover Farm

The white and red wolf walked up and sat down near a bush, she waited patiently for her apprentice to arrive. she would teach Amberpaw then she would give herseslf to starclan, she was young but she felt like she had been travelling the world for years. her bones and sinew ached. with heart ache really. her mind was as black as night without any hope for stars or moon to guide her way.

Okami flicked her ears and said "go over there and inspect the brush, there is one of windclans greatest secrets there". her ears pointed at a thick patch of heather. she smiled faintly wondering how the apprentice would discover the tunnels of windclan.

Okami grinned hollowy, she walked over and said "this is the great secret of the windclan wolves, there are tunnels all over the windclan territory dug by our ancestors". she flicked her tail and said "stay close to me as we explore". she delved into the tunnels

Spottedheart trotted out the entrance to one of the tunnels. Gazing around, she found herself next to a tall fence. On the other side, there was a bright red barn. Horses and cows grazed in the distance. "Perfect!" She thought, pleased. "There might be some catmint here, it's close to the Twolegged place, after all." Narrowing her eyes, she spotted a Twoleg den in the distance, across the plain where the horses grazed. The She-wolf then wriggled under a large gap in the fence. "Good thing I'm kinda small for a wolf..." She thought as she squeezed under. Getting up, Spottedheart dashed towards the Twoleg garden, which was a little distance away from the house. The scent of Catmint was faint in the air.

Barkstripe stopped at the fence. He gazed after then fence and flicked his ears. "Thats the farm. The barn is safer. There aren't any Twoleggeds that live in there." He nodded towards the large red building.

Jasmine turned her gaze to the farm. "Reminds me of Cole's farm."she thought to herself. "I wonder how that runt is doing."she murmured. She smiled. "I bet that this place would be great to find different items to use or anything."she said.

Barkstripe raised his eyebrows at a name. "Who's Cole? And yes. Some times Spottedheart comes down here to find some herbs." He sniffed,and watched his apprentice.


Barkstripe flicked his ears at Jasminepaw. He then grinned. She stood up and shook his pelt. "Come one. Its a gathering tonight. Follow me."
Bark then turned and slowly padded his way to Four Trees. His head lolling side to side.

Okami walked up her white fur keeping her warm from the cold night breeze. she had somehow gotten ahead of Raggedfur and come here before him. as she inhaled the warm smell of mice and hay met her black nose. she shook out her fur the temptation to hunt racing through her blood. she however stopped hereslf and leapt up onto a bale of hay waiting. her thoughts drifting to raggedfur, she found herself comparing him to tallfeather. deciding that Ragged was the better male in every aspect she waited almost excitedly. she hadnt felt this awake in forever. she shifted a little awkwardly, she wondered why she felt like this. she had vowed to never allow herself to have this kind of emotion ever again. she turned her head and gave her scab a good nip to slap herself out of it.

Raggedfur trotted into the farmland territory, his nose raised to probe the air for any nearby twolegs. Thankfully, they didn't seem to be working on the barn and its surrounding counterparts today, and the place was all but abandoned - perfect for Raggedfur and Okami's designated training. Blinking in slight surprise as he realized that Okami had somehow made it to the farm before him, despite Raggedfur having left camp earlier than her, Raggedfur trotted to catch up to the female as he saw her perched precariously atop a bale of hay. She seemed lost in her thoughts, and Raggedfur found himself involuntarily pausing to examine the female in spite of himself as she sat there, outlined by the silvery glow of the moon behind them. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Raggedfur pressed his front paws against the side of the considerably large hay bale. He didn't jump on top in fear of his heavy weight upsetting the bale and sending them both tumbling down into the weedy mess. "You can come down, now," He said, slightly bemused but voice remaining impervious.

She blinked, coming out of her revire and nodded, leaping down she landed easily "so where do we begin mentor of mine" her voice had a light teasing edge to it. she stood tall and comfortably balanced. she had muscular hind quarters and shoulders. she looked abit skinny around the chest area, her ribs showing a little. the red and white warrior tilted her head, he looked a little bemused. wondering if he was ok she went to open her mouth before thinking better of it and waited for him to reply to her question.

Raggedfur snorted and shook his head at her teasing words. Though he betrayed no outwards signs, the lightness and obvious familiarity to Okami's voice sent a fluttering sensation in the pit of his stomach. He ignored the feeling, head swiveling to look out across the vast moorland surrounding the barn. The farm was a good place to train - even if they didn't manage to get much fighting done, they could always retire to the barn, which was a guaranteed food source at pretty much all times. "Okay," Raggedfur began slowly, wondering where exactly to begin. Truth be told, he had no idea. Raggedfur had never been a mentor to an apprentice, and teaching a fully grown wolf in comparison seemed like the seventh cycle of hell. "Reckon we oughta start with defensive stance." Falling into a crouched position, every muscle in his legs locked tightly beneath him, Raggedfur signaled for Okami to do the same.

She watched him, her eyes noticing how he crouched. once she had analyzed his crouch she copied it. almost right, her ways of anylyzing moves and copying the muslce movements to her brain was how she worked. her tail was stuck out behind her for balance. she smiled slightly. her claws sunk into the earth slightly to help her keep her balance. her heart thudded unsteadily as she felt raggedfurs gaze on her. her ears felt hot and she stared at her paws "how did i do?"

She staggered backwards as his attack hit her dead on, she grunted a little. she quickly reset herself into the position. altering it a little so it was better. she looked up at him the places where his paws had touched her felt like they were full of electircity. feeling a little awkward she said quickly "cool!!" she kept herself in the stance not sure if he would come again for another attack. her red markinged face was narrowed in determination, she wuld learn and become a good battler like Raggedfur.

She nodded "yeah". she missed the grin on his face but she stood up properly her tail giving a slight wag. she couldnt wait to begin some defensive fighting. she rolled her shoulder out of habit and fixed her focused look on the gray male infront of her. he had shown her kindness amid his grouchyness. She found herself respecting him more, her eyes glittered and she decided to do something slightly reckless. without waiting for his go ahead she ducked toward him, aiming to lightly tap her head to his chest in a headbutt.

She joined in his laughing, her eyes sparkled with laughter. her chest heaved as the happy sound galloped out of her throat. she smiled at raggedfur he wasnt so bad, everyone seemed to hate on the poor guy. but all he needed was someone to be kind and be able to grumble with. the wolf flicked her ears listening to the sound of his laughter. the sound of it sent tingles down her spine to her paws. thanking starclan that she couldnt blush she licked her chest fur a little awkwardly.

She sat down also and licked a paw delicatly "sure go ahead" she said absent mindedly. her black eyes glittering with happiness and amusement. she hadnt felt so happy in all of her life. white pelt fluffed up a bit she turned her head and began grooming herself calmly. takin gspecial care to keep her red markings clean. feeling his gaze on her, her ears felt hot and a smile curved up her muzzle. she wouldnt admit it out loud but she thought that perhaps.. perhaps she was beginning to fall ofr the grumpy other wolf. she didnt want to scare him however so she kept her trap shut.

She paused hearing his question and stared at his feet, her demeanour dropping a little to a more sombre mood. she said in a quiet voice "i.. had put my trust in someone and they.. betrayed it in the most devastating way possible, i had also always been a sad pup for i believed that i would never have a friend due to my markings and the plate on my back" she said softly. she looked up at him and said "but i have you to thank for drawing me out of that place Raggedfur. i owe you for it"
