Swiftpaw training with Blackhawk

Blackhawk sat down, his tail swishing lightly. His excitement of training his first apprentice inbearable. He gleamed with happiness.

Blackhawk smiled, "Good, great actually. Strange though there should be other prey yet this seems to be it." Ever since the dogs had come, prey was diminshing, he sighed. "Go ahead and eat you deserve it." The warrior panted and lied his head down. As soon as Swiftpaw was done they would get back to it. Focusing on hunting prey and defensive fighting./

Swiftpaw panted a bit he felt quite tired. He shook he's pelt and then ripped the baby deers soft fur and ripped chuncks of meat. He ate he's full and then sat back he licked he's muzzle and teeth and then sat back.

Blackhawk took a leg and ate it swiftly. He stood and sighed, "alright lets do a little defensive hunting. Guard the deer from me, as I come at you." His tail swished slowly.

"Okay but what do I do push you or way or what?" Swiftpaw was slightly confused he had never done defensive moves or compete for he's dinner. All he knew was how to dodge.

Blackhakw had a sudden glare of determination. He knew all the apprentice needed was instinct. Without warning the warrior disappeared into the bushes. His breathing so quiet, you could hear a butterfly's sigh. He smiled and stalked behind Swiftpaw, his paws landing on the sandy ground.

Swiftpaw asked the question but heard no reply. As he turned around he saw the blackhawk had vanished. He looked around and couldn't spot the dark warrior. Swiftpaw guarded over the prey. And kept he's eye open letting out hisses and growls to see if he could get a reaction and pinpoint where blackhawk was.

The dark warrior picked up a small rock and threw it over to the right. He was right behind Swiftpaw, and the tree. He smiled if Swift went over he would have the prey. The warrior waited and watched.

Swiftpaw turned quickly to where he heard the sound, was it a stumble or did blackhawk move to loudly he kept where he keeping over the preying stay as close as possible to it. He knew all he wanted was the prey so if he stayed he would have to come out sooner or later.

Blackhawk's ear twitched, good he's staying. That's better. Finally since it was a defensive fighting training the warrior came out from behind the tree and knocked the apprentice over, as he ran for the prey.

Swiftpaw, turned but was too late to do anything as he fell to the ground, he got up and ran towards the prey. He got their just before blackhawk could get a hold of it and pushed it behind him. He held his defensive stance and watched blackhawk

Blackhawk was surprised. A sly smile spread across his face. Balancing his weight on his two front paws, he flun his one leg forward pushing Swiftpaw over. Like a flash he grabbed a hold of the deer.

swiftpaw hit the sandy floor again, he was determined to get he's kill back, he got up and this time he didn't rush at him. Swiftpaw quickly lept into the bushes before blackhawk could turn around and see where he was. Then swiftpaw moved around undetected away from blackhawk and tried to get as close to the prey to reclaim he's kill.

Blackhawk turned to look at Swiftpaw, but he no longer saw him. He was impressed and proud. The apprentice did not depend on his speed all the time. This was really good. Rather sluggishly he moved the kill to the middle of the clearing looking around.

Swiftpaw flicked two rocks across the clearing one hitting the tree and one close behind blackhawk, he waited for blackhawk to jolt, and the swiftpaw ran towards he's side, where the prey laid and he pulled it as quickly as possible.

Blackhawk turned his head, only to find he had been tricked. He scowled and saw Swiftpaw tugging the prey away. He lunged and landed on top of it. "Not my prey." The warrior smiled and stood triumphantly.

Swiftpaw felt the big male drop he's body wait on the carcass he let go and then huffed, he couldn't pull the prey out of under him. And he was getting quite tired and didn't have anymore ideas.

Blackhawk sat down and smiled with triumph. The young wolf was getting tired he could see it. He sighed and looked around waitng for something to happen. The wind blew his fur and he closed his eyes, a moment of weakness.

Swiftpaw, stopped huffing and ran into blackhawk knocking him of the. Prey, and swiftpaw quickly picked it up and ran off. He disappeared in a few seconds. He sat down and wondered if he still will train when he becomes a warrior.

Blackhawk smiled, "Good job kid." He shook the sand out of his pelt. "Rest a bit we have one more thing for you to try before I..." The warrior stopped and just smiled.

Swiftpaw yawned and stretched he's back. "Before what blackhawk?" Swiftpaw asked curiously he felt a tinge of excitement creep through he's worn out body.

Blackhawk shook his head, "Just rest up." He chuckled, his tiredness lifting thinking about his apprentice being made a warrior. He yawned and stretched falling to his side, as he was unbalanced without his leg. He usually forgot about his leg, and he blushed with embarassment.

Swiftpaw laid flat out on he's stomach, this was by far the best training he's done. He panted quickly a close he's eyes here and then. As he waited for a while to start training again.

Blackhawk sighed. "Ok c'mon we can do something easy, lets go scouting for predators around the territory. Lets go." He smiled and his tail wagged.

Swiftpaw got up and yawned he shook he's pelt clean of all the sand. "Okay I've never scouted before, what do we have to do." Swiftpaw said with enthusiasm. He bounced around as he followed blackhawk feeling he's body feel less tired.

"Sniff around for strange scents. So no worries no more fighting just scouting. Your turn to lead." Blackhawk dropped back to let the apprentice forward.
