ThunderClan Camp

Subject: ThunderClan Camp Sat Nov 03, 2012 7:43 pm

First topic message reminder :

The camp entrance is well hidden by brambles, which protect the camp from predators, but doesn't stop sunshine from coming in. A ravine leads through it. This ravine was once a river, but it is now dried up. The way into the camp is through the gorse tunnel. The nursery has thick bramble walls and is the most guarded part of the camp. Behind a tree stump, there is a clump of ferns where the apprentices sleep. Warriors sleep under a bush in another tunnel. Inside the camp, there is a fallen tree where the elders sleep, and the senior warriors sleep in the center of the camp. Across the clearing, a smooth tall rock resides. This is called the Highrock, and the leader stands there to make important speeches.The leader's den is in a cave in the rock which was carved out by an ancient stream. Lichen covers the entrance.The last notable feature in the camp is a fern tunnel that leads to a crack in a rock. This is the medicine wolf's den.

Streakpup walks out of the nursery and hears Firepaw say "But we'll fight, won't we when the time comes." Streakpup tilts her head and asks ''What fight?When what time comes?'' She waits for an answer paitently.

Firepaw looked down at the little pup. "The fights that are yet to come, whatever they may be," she said. "And when Rainstar says it's time and StarClan too." The firey apprentice smiled at Streakpup. "Don't worry, everything will be fine."

Streakpup says ''OK!'' and looks for some fun to do. She cannot find anything to do so she just, goes to eat. Streakpup find the smallest mouse and takes it back to the nursery to eat. Once she is beside her mother, she lays down and eats.

After she eats she is even more bored then before.I wonder what its like outside the camp, I haven't ever been told not to, streakpup thinks to herself as she walks around outside the nursery, she walks to the camp exit. I will do it, i hope i dont get in trouble, i dont know if it is allowed streakpup thinks. She steps out, looks back, and heads to sandy hollow.(My character does not know the rules yet)

Seeing another pup in camp,she shrugged. I'll meet her later. She then felt her belly rumble. "Now for some food." Standing up,she walked towards the fresh-kill pile. Picking a mouse,she sat down and ate.

Firepaw was feeling rather hungry so she went to the fresh-kill pile. Firepaw picked out two hares and lay down to eat. She saw Hawkpool beside but said nothing. As the firey apprentice ate, she eyed the nursery: wondering when Luna and Falconpaw would come out and whether Luna would take them out of the camp again.

I finally back in the camp and hopes no one knew i was gone. Heads straight to the fresh kill pile, and wonders if i should tell anyone about my dream.Picks out a vole, and eats it clean, then goes to the nursery for some sleep. nestles beside my mother, wonders if anyone else had the dream for a moment, then falls asleep.

It's time to begin, isn't it. I'm never changing who I am. She told herself in her head as she grabbed a vole of the pile and sat next to Firepaw. It was funny how Fire and Ice were best friends. But you can't judge a wolf by they're pelt. She looked up at her friend with a smile as she ate.

Firepaw looked round as a wolf sat next to her and smiled. "Hello Icepaw. I'm sorry about going off so abruptly before because Luna took me and Falcon for a walk along the borders." The firey apprentice smiled again at her friend and nudged her softly. "How have you been getting on?" she asked. She's my best friend forever and she always will be, thought Firepaw.

A sad look on her face when the question was asked. Isenpaw was gone, her sister abandoned her, a whole had been punched through her chest that could never be healed. "Isenpaw left ThunderClan. My sister abandoned me just before being made an apprentice. It's all because of Swiftstreak and now he's my mentor. I'm not sure if I can do this." She said, looking at her best friend for help.

The firey female licked her friend's face consolingly. "You can do this, Icepaw", she said. "Isenpaw probably wouldn't want you to lose your place in ThunderClan and a good apprenticeship just because of her. Your sister had a choice about whether or not to leave ThunderClan and she took it. Anyway, she's happy where she is, in SunClan. Isenpaw just wasn't happy here. Rainstar understood that and she made your sister an apprentice at the gathering." Firepaw smiled at her friend. "Yes, I know that Swiftstreak can be angry, quick-tempered and mean through his words (that's his weakness) but just try and ignore any cross words and learn the skills needed." The firey apprentice's eyes glowed like embers. "Luna's sometimes cross with me and Falcon but I bear it and concentrate on the training. I have confidence in myself because I have confidence in you, Icepaw! If you ever need someone to talk to about it again, you can tell me, ok?"

Icepaw smiled at Firepaw, it was a weak smile, but a smile nonetheless. She wanted to say, 'But it's all Swiftstreak's fault because he called her traitor so she left.' But she couldn't get any words out, only a nod and a smile. It was like it was all she was capable of doing.

Firepaw could see that Icepaw still wasn't happy so she nudged her friendly. "Don't worry, if Swiftstreak makes any more remarks about your sister. I'll make him take them back." The firey apprentice growled softly even though she was smiling. "We're not pups any more, and anyway ..." She leaned in. "I'm not the only wolf who feels that way about Isenpaw. Hawkpool, Luna, Phoenixfire and Rainstar do. You're not alone."

Icepaw smiled, she knew it was true, they'd all stood up for Isenpaw. She looked at Firepaw happy now. "Want to go explore the territory?" She asked deviously, her eyes shined with excitement for her apprenticehood.

Walks to the fresh kill pile feeling rather hungry. Finds a freshly killed rabbit and starts to eat it. Listens to firepaws and icepaws conversation. Isenpaw left? I didnt know that...

Glancing at the "paws" and the new paw,she grinned. Turning to the pup,she blinked. "Hello there. I'm hawkpool. Who might you be?" She then laid down.

Falconpaw padded out of the nursery groggily. He stumbled this way and that until he regained full consciousness. He blinked and sat down cleaning his ruffled pelt quickly. He stood and walked over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a small mouse for himself. It was leaf-bare after all and being greedy wasn't going to help and there wasn't much food left. He pulled away and ate it behind a rock quietly.

Fire flared up excitedly in Firepaw's eyes and then died down a fraction. "I would like too but Rainstar might be a bit cross about it, she was pretty annoyed when I went to the Owl Tree for sometime to think. We need a warrior with us to go out of camp with." Smiling at Icepaw, the firey apprentice turned around to get a mouse when she saw Falconpaw come up to the pile and get a mouse then eat it behind a rock near them. "Did you sleep well, Falconpaw?" she asked. Firepaw began to groom her fire-like pelt: it was rather dirty.

Watches Falconpaw go sit down and eat, says ''hi falconpaw'' as he goes by. Walks bsck to the nursery, I have no friends that are my age, i wish i had some.

Falconpaw looked up and gave a small smile, "Yeah sure." He kept eating quietly, crunching the mouses bones in his mouth silently. His eyes darted about the camp. He was looking for something, but he wasn't going to say what. His eyes drooped as he remembered and he continued on the mouse until it was all gone. The large male was still hungry but he decided to just live with it. Others needed the food more than him. He yawned and just lied there by the snow.

''I hope you just keep the secret that i left, im not gonna go again, it was horrible! I got lost, and i slept overnight.''

Firepaw winked at Hawkpool. It looks like those two are going to be firm friends. She stood up and walked over to the pup whom she thought was Lightpup. "Hello!" she said, smiling at the pup.
