StormClan Camp

The StormClan camp is surrounded by prickly bushes and is well protected against outsiders. It is in the middle of a forest, a cross between ShadowClan and RiverClan camps. The nature of this causes the camp to become misty on particularly humid days. The leader's den are two big rocks that balance each other, creating a tunnel which is relatively large in nature. Plant matter hangs over the entrance and shields the inside from view. The elder's den is a large thorn bush, hollowed in the inside for comfort. It is well protected. The warriors den is an abandoned fox den which lost the scent of its previous owners long ago. The den has been expanded further by its new warrior inhabitants and is large enough for all of the warriors of the Clan. Beside this den is the apprentices den, which is a tree trunk which had fallen over long ago in a storm and over time was hollowed out by the elements. The nursery is similar to the Elder's den, as it is well protected by thorns and has a secure wall.

Snowstorm smiled comfortingly. "That's right, you can do it, just one more." He said. He looked down at the pups, then back at Silverheart. "You're doing so well, and you're almost done. Just one more and you can rest." He gave her another lick on the head.

Hearing the words "one more". He quickly stood up,lifting his leg. With his ears moving in every direction. No wait,its just the nursery. He sighed and set his paw down. Relaxing,he walked over to the den entrance. Sitting down,he felt the milky scent eminate from the den. It hit him like a scratch from a rabbit. He snorted,and thought. She would be tired after all of this.... You know pups and all. He shivered and shook his head. Relax,they're just pups. He whimpered silently. Then thought she might need some food. So he went to the fresh-kill pile. Nosing the few scrawny pieces of meat. Then picked a chunk of the elk Silent and Fangclaw brought in. Picking it up,he quickly brought it to the den entrance. Then tore a small piece from it,and set it on his nest beside the den. Then sat,waiting at the entrance with his piece of meat.
(Well,last sentence sounds like he loves mean :/)

Seeing Bluepup carry some of the prey to the entrance, Fangpaw sighed. Oh well. Standing up and padding inside the apprentice's den, Fangpaw curled around in his nest and whimpered ever so quietly. He missed how simple everything was. When everyone was just friends, and nothing was ever so complicated. He missed those days no matter how much he wanted to forget them. Wondering what both Ripplepaw and Stoatpaw were doing now in Sunclan, he whined while pressing his ears against his head thinking of their times, and how they grew so close so fast. When will the next gathering be?

Suddenly, a wave of jealousy had hit him. His puphood friend fell for a she-wolf who could be loved, while Fangpaw was here in Stormclan caring for someone who could not love. Life was unfair, and with that thought carved deep in his mind, the apprentice fell into a deep, dreamless slumber.

Seeing fang fall asleep,he sighed. I wonder whats going through his head. He felt the cold snow start to fall again. She shook his pelt,and watched as the sky continue to darken. Looking up at the thinking star,he howled. He closed his eyes. His white winter breath flying through the air. He then stopped for a moment. He felt his eyes show a joyful glint. He looked back at the den. New life,if new happiness. And to be able to start over. He narrowed his eyes. Trying to see into the darkened den. He saw an outline of Snowstorm next to Silverheart trying to calm her. While Ravenpaw was next to her bulging belly pushing on it. He then sat back down. Gazing blanking through camp.

Seeing Blue going to the nurcery Luna just moved her look in another way. Being a warrior hmm she tought. She know was totally confused but she decided to listen to her heart. She wanted to become a warrior and that would not change. The pup got up and glanced at the nurcery. She looked around for a better place then spotted a log. She trotted to it as she took some moss with her. She then placed it in the log and layed over it making herself comfy.

Seething in pain she pushed once more. Sweat beads rolled down the side of her fur. Fur was sticking out in patches from sweat and the clumps of dirt she clawed up. Straining she gave it one last push and sighed heavily. Her eyes slits she layed on the ground staring at her pups. They were precious little gifts, and they looked beautiful. Her sides steadily rising and falling she closed her eyes and rested.

Shadestar did not receive a quick answer from Skyfeather and his patience was wearing thin with this female, for the leader really did not have any patience. Too much was going on at once, and Shadestar couldn't just wait here. Hearing the call of "one more pup left" he stood up and walked out of the den. "Speak to me later, I have important matters to attend to right now." Walking to the nursery he stuck his head inside and allowed a small smile and a sigh of relief to escape from his jaws. Silverheart was fine, the pups had been born. These pups would be the first born when StormClan was one. This must be a good omen, right? "Glad to see you're doing okay, Silverheart. You need your rest surely. Let me know what you've decided to name your pups when they are ready. Also Ravenpaw, when you can, please come outside for I have a ceremony for you to perform." Receding from the den he jumped on top of the highrock and let out a call. Now that the birthing was done, he could finally focus on other things.

Snowstorm let out a sigh of relief as the final pup was born. He nuzzled Silverheart and said softly, "You did great, you're done now. And now you can rest." He looked at the six newborn pups, then back at Silverheart. "They are all beautiful Silverheart," he added in a whisper.

Snowstorm looked up as Shadestar called a meeting. He looked over at Ravenpaw. "Will she be okay if I leave the den for the meeting? I'll stay here if It would be better." He looked back at the sleeping queen.

Ravenpaw nipped open the sac of the last pup and licked it dry, placing it with the other pups she said to snowstorm "better to let her rest" she smiled tiredly, the experience had tired out the young medicine wolf apprentice. she turned and padded out of the den and over to the highrock. she stared up at shadestar with her midnight blue eyes, if she was made a full medicine wolf she would have to travel to the moonstone and speak with starclan as a full medicine wolf. she twitched her tail and gave a slight yawn. shaking herself she sat up straight and met shadestars golden gaze.

Magmafeather had ignored Ravenpaw and continued to watch over his apprentice. Now that the experience was over, he thanked Starclan for the life of his apprentice and her four pups. He went out of the nursery into the camp. It seemed as if Shadestar was preparing for something. But for what, he did not know.

Snowstorm nodded to Ravenpaw and looked at Silverheart again before standing up and slipping out of the nursery. He found a spot in front of the Highrock and sat down looking up at Shadestar, waiting for the meeting to start and wondering what the ceremonies would be.

Nightfeather padded over to the Highrock and sat down in front, waiting for the meeting to start. She wondered what the purpose of this meeting would be. Ceremonies? Other announcements? Everything? Her first guess was ceremonies, since there had to be quite a few that needed to be done. Silentpaw's warrior ceremony, for one.

Silentpaw yawned and ate the last scraps from the elk. Getting to his paws he looked over in Ravenpaws direction. Maybe i should talk to her about it? He thought. He walked to her direction before hesitating. He sat down sighing.

Ravenpaw turned and said to silentpaw "when i siad that we werent friends i meant that i looked apon you as a brother". She admitted she watched her old friend with sad midnight blue eyes. she wanted him to forgive her for him not understanding what she meant the first time. she swished her plumey tail over the dry earth and watched silentpaw.

Silentpaw sighed as Ravenpaw spoke. "Well you said i hang out with the pups too much." He groaned. He thought back time to when he was eavesdropping the conversation Fangpaw and the medicine wolf apprentice were having.

Her eyes glittered with embarrasement "i was jealous that we didnt spend that much time together anymore". she ducked her head and stared at her paws quietly. she hoped that shadestar would hurry up and perform the ceremonies. she gave a slight sneeze and looked up watching silentpaw.

Silentpaw sighed once again. "Well you hanged out with Fangpaw too much. You did not really hang out with me anymore." He shuffled his paw about in the snow making a strange S shape. Then he started digging a little hole next to it.

Ravenpaw shuffled over to silentpaw and gave him a light nip to the ear. "im sorry silentpaw... why dont we begin anew?". she stared at him wanting to be his friend again, she felt so empty without him beside her. she flicked her tail and sighed a little "i understand if you dont want to though". her ears tilted to the side.

Silentpaw flinched as he was nipped. "Fine." he said. He yawned then added, "Your nip was hard." Before trotting away.

Shadestar sat down on the rock, and looked over at Graystar, nodding to her to signify that she may join him if she wished. Then the leader turned his attention back to the wolves gathered before him. "We have beaten the odds when we formed these Clans.. And now we have a successful new litter. It must be an omen from StarClan that these wolves and StormClan is blessed. I have already felt the banes of winter and I'm sure this one will be tough, I can sense it. We must all work together if we hope to survive." Shadestar paused for a moment, his golden eyes now turned towards Ravenpaw. "We have a talented medicine wolf in our midst that has proven time and time again that she is capable during times of emergency. Therefore I ask, Ravenpaw, that you please step forward."

Ravenpaw gave a little excited bounce before calming herself. she took several steps forward and stared up at shadestar withnothing but respect in her midnight blue depths. a light dusting of snow rested on her blue-black pelt. her claws curled into the snow, she smiled up at shadestar silently saying im ready.

"Unfortunately," Shadestar began once more, watching Ravenpaw step forward, "Neither of your mentors are present. And so I believe that StarClan will still allow this ceremony if I complete it instead of them. And so.. I, Shadestar, leader of StormClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine wolf, and with your help she will serve StormClan for many moons. Ravenpaw, do you promise to uphold the way of a medicine wolf, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?" He said aloud the reigning ceremony from the days of old. Pausing after this last word, he waited to see how Ravenpaw would respond so it could continue.

Creekpup looked up from his meal. Seeing Shadestar on the Highrock, he watched as the leader summoned Ravenpaw. Swallowing the bite of trout he had been chewing, he stood up, shaking out his fluffy gray pelt. The large pup trotted over to where the small crowd of wolves were, sitting down near them. I wonder when I'll be an apprentice, he thought.

Ravenpaw smiled calmly and nodded "yes i do shadestar". she burst with pride. She remembered healing shadestar. speaking with starclan. training with lightdawn. coming up with ideas with foxheart. playing with silentpaw and mistypaw.

Magmafeather watched the ceremonies. He smiled (yes, actually smiled) toward Ravenpaw as her medicine cat ceremony took place. Ravenpaw had kept his former apprentice alive during a very hard experience, and Magmafeather had now developed a permanent respect for the young medicine cat. Perhaps she, unlike Foxheart, would be around when the need was there.
