*Scratch was torn. On one hand, he wanted to tell Wind about his past.* On the other hand, he wasn't sure Wind would understand what he'd been through. After pondering the matter for a while, he decided he'd tell Wind about his history.*

Shadowpup was having the hardest time not being able to sit still. She waited there impatiently as her clanmates started to gather beneath the Highrock. Once her clanmates were gathered Firestar called her, Copperpup, and Foxpup to step forward. She stepped forward along with her denmates and couldnt help but think to herself " mama i hope your watching me, im going to become a good warrior, so that you can be proud of me, i love you mom, i miss you." Thinking about her mother always brought tears to her eyes. Shadowpup stopped walking for a second to wipe away the tears, hoping that nobody saw them. She continued to walk forward until she was sitting next to her denmates.

After Mossey found adder she walked over to her. "Hi Adder after this do you want to go around the land?" she asked. Then looked at wind staring at Firestar. She sat down next to her apprentice.

Adderpaw snorted, making a white cloud. "You can go!" she snorted. She knows I hate her! Why would she offer? she thought.

"Just trying to be nice." She told Adder. Mossey then turned and walked away from her apprentice. She thought to herself give it time the plan will work. She sat at the back of camp.

"No plans! I'm getting a different mentor too, you know!" she said to herself. She looked back at the highrock. When will Firestar announce it?

Nightowl smiled at his little brother. his golden eyes shone with pride and affection for his brother. he hoped that he would be able to mentor shadowpaw. she seemed like an intelligent pup and he wanted to be able to teach her the ways of the clan.

Copperpup grinned at Shadowpup his best friend. he was finally becoming an apprentice! he wondered who he would get. a billion thoughts rushed throguh his head as he thought. his ears twitched sporadically and he practically bounced up and down with excitement. no dignity for this pup! he was far too excited. a big silly beam plastereed all over his muzzle.

Nightowl shot his little brother a look. silently warning him to be quiet and still. he flicked his black tail and let out a almost silent huff. his eyes darted over to where he had last seen rainwhisper. he shook his head trying to get that blasted female out of his head and returned to watching his brother. it was his brothers apprentice ceremony his thoughts should really be with him right? right?

Copperpup stuck out his tongue at his scowling brother and grinned. he gently nudged Shadowpup his excitement infectious. he just wished that firestar would hurry up so he could bounce around bragging of being an apprentice!. his tail was wagging like a spring. his whole hindquarters had begun to wag as well. he had no shame at all did this young pup soon to be an apprentice.

Nightowl rolled his eyes and stood casually sauntering over to copperpup he flicked his tail over his brothers ears. hoping that the pain would sober the pup for a bit. he didnt want his brother to make a fool of himself. he knew as well as anywolf that the clan wouldnt forget foolishness. he sat down and placed a paw on his brothers copper tail and smirked down at his face.

Copperpup yipped in pain as he felt a tail flicking hsi ears and a paw on his tail. he glanced up at his big brother and glared up at him with his darkening eyes. he reached up with his front paws and tried to bat at his brothers chin. he was a very silly pup and probbaly was going to become a very silly warrior. for now however he didnt care.

"From this moment, until these three have earned their warrior names, these apprentice shall be known as Copperpaw, Shadowpaw and Foxpaw. Nightowl, you will be mentor to Shadowpaw and Copperpaw." The leader looked around but she couldn't see Rainwhisper anywhere but she continued anyway. "Rainwhisper shall be the mentor of Foxpaw. You are true and trusted warriors, and I hope you will pass this knowledge to your new apprentices. Also Adderpaw is to be given a new mentor. I shall take Adderpaw on as a second apprentice." Firestar smiled at the new apprentices and jumped down from the Highrock to talk to them and Windstorm.

Foxpaw grinned with ecitement. she barked "thank you soo so so sos os much Firestar!". she giggled and pounced on copperpaw. her tail wagging with furious exciteemnt. she soon just began running around happily.

Adderpaw smiled. Finally! she thought. She looked at Firestar. She wagged.

Feathersoul's ears pricked at Firestar's words. Two apprentices for Nightowl? Geez! "Copperpaw! Foxpaw! Shadowpaw!" The black fae called out the new apprentice's names before padding casually over to where Nightowl sat. "You think you can handle those two?" she asked, flicking her ears at Shadowpaw and Copperpaw. Training Bramblepaw was hard enough, so she couldn't imagine what a paw-full it would be for two young apprentices.

Adderpaw was bored. "Feathersoul, I'm going to the great sycamore. You can come too if you want." She walked to the great sycamore.

Shadowpaw couldnt help but act like a little pup. She is finally an apprentice, she almost couldn't believe it. She yipped and started towards her denmates. " we did it you guys, we are finally apprentices." " Now we have to work hard to become great warriors," she said to Copperpaw and Foxpaw. " And Copperpaw we both have the same mentor!" " we are going to have so much fun, i just know it." Shadowpaw turned towards Foxpaw, "have fun with Rainwhisper Foxpaw."

Feathersoul turned her head, spying Adderpaw speaking to her. She nodded in agreement. "Okay. I'll be there in a little bit."

Foxpaw nodded and watched her friends continue to bounce around Nightowl. she found herself drifting away more and more. her fluffy pelt had been replaced with wiry hairs. she had black ones growing on her scruff and her fur was longer and more like hair than her pack mates. she sighed a little worriedly.

Nightowl walked over to Feathersoul and said "i feel a little lost, i had no idea that iw ould be given TWO apprentices". his eyes watched the two apprentices gamboyling around rather happily. he glanced at her and said "i may have to ask you for help sometimes". his golden eyes glittered with pleading.

Feathersoul smiled at Nightowl's pleading gaze. "Sure thing. I may not be as tough and strong as a warrior, but I can be quite the fighter." She turned, her eyes focussing on Shadowpaw. "She looks so happy to be training with you and Copperpaw. I guess she likes you a lot.

Shadowpaw ran to Nightowl, who was talking to Feathersoul. " hey Nightowl can we go training," She asked. She couldnt wait when she would be able to defend her clan. " i promise that ill be a great apprentice."

Feathersoul smiled down at Shadowpaw. The eager young apprentice bounced around, excited to go out and train. "I'm sure you will be." She leaned closer, whispering now. "Make sure to beat Copperpaw at everything!" she said teasingly, just loud enough for Nightowl to hear.

Shadowpaw growled a softly at the challenge to beat Copperpaw. she turned to Feathersoul and not bothering to whisper she said " i will Feathersoul, bye im going to go train." she yelled as she headed out of camp to the training grounds.
