WindClan Camp

Heather star watched the jet black male intently as his nervous state became apparent to her, and she wriggled her ears, just waiting. Finally, when his question eventually reached her white tipped ears she felt something inside of her lurch violently, and for a moment the small leader was dumb found. Stunned beyond words for a couple of moments the fae let herself relax, feeling a smile beginning to form upon her muzzle. Never could she of imagined that this was what Swiftstreak had been planning to ask her, and she couldn't have wished for anything else. "Of course." She muttered equally, joy and emotion filling her gaze as she looked up at him. "Yes, of course I will be."

Raggedfur padded into camp, his steps even more heavyset than usual with frustration and anxiety. He'd practically blundered his way from Outlook Rock, clumsy and graceless as he made his way hurriedly back to camp. The smell of death and despair was alight in the air, and Raggedfur instantly froze as his green gaze scanned the area for the source. A freezing cold dread had opened up in his chest and the horror only grew as his eyes managed to find neither Okami, nor Stormtussle...but Raggedfur quickly told himself he was being irrational. If his brother was dead, he'd have been the first wolf to know, and besides, Okami had to be around somewhere, resting her wound. Sighing, the black male trailed his way back towards the camp entrance to find Swiftstreak, the semi-friend of his mournfully filling a pit of earthen debris...and it suddenly became clear to Raggedfur who exactly had died. Heatherstar.

The name struck Raggedfur's heart as swift and unexpected as a bullet from a thunderstick, and for a moment he stood in shock. Though he'd never been close to Heatherstar and always as grumpy towards her as he was to any other wolf, Raggedfur had respected his leader. She was fair, strong in her beliefs, and undeniable loyal to her clan. Digging his blunt claws into the ground with frustration, Raggedfur resisted the urge to howl out with grief and annoyance to Starclan. God, hadn't they been merciful of late? The sarcastic thought echoed in his mind as Raggedfur trailed his way back to camp, sitting down morosely beside Smokepup. For once, the grumpy warrior was at loss of anything smart-alecky to say.

Swiftstreak watched as raggedfur walked pass, the male went to get as many flowers he could just outside the camp. Bringing back a jawful the male places the different coloured flowers over the grave. As he stood there and closed he's eyes the grief had now finished off any kind of love Swiftstreak had. He wasn't much a believer of starclan, especially through the rough time he had growing up which had gotten worse. Swiftstreak opened he's pale eyes he's physically and metally drained body had nothing more to give.

Barkstripe turned to the pup that appeared. He sighed. "Shes probably off with Duskfang." He stood up and shook out his fur. "But it might take our mind off of things as they are." He then turned to Jadefeather. "Don't worry. I don't know where Blue went,but he's our medicine wolf. And Snowflower is now officially Snowstar." His ears twitched. "We'll be fine I promise."

Smokepup turned to Barkstripe as he spoke. "I hope she gets back soon." Smokepup sighed and layed her head on her paws. I wonder what Starclan has in store for us now, she thought.

Brokenglare stabbered into the camp, her fur was still all ruffled up and looked a lot like a bush of thorns, and her eyes almost glowed with wrath and sorrow, the two things combined made her look more like a demon than a wolf, and more terrifying than ever. She weakly walked over to the warriors den, but her smally bleeding paws made it painful. She shot a curious, but sad glance at all the Wolves discussing in the middle of the camp before lunging herself into the den. Everything that just happened, it began seeming a lot more common to her now, even though that, she couldn't stop feeling all empty. She closed her enraged eyes and hoped to fall asleep, just to escape reality for some small, painless moments.

Barkstripe nodded to the little pup. "Yeah,I hope so too." He sighed and flicked his tail. Then Brokenglare stumbled into the den. Looking more horrifying then even. His ears twitched. Those thorns are only at Outlook rock....

Jadefeather nodded and lay down in her nest as Barkstripe and Smokepup chatted. Looking up as a new scent came across her, she noticed Brokenglare pad into the den looking rather lost and tired. I wonder what happened..., Jade thought and was about to ask before the grey female collapsed in her own nest and closed her eyes. Maybe I'll ask later..., she decided and cast a worried glance over at the female.

Snowflower saw the warriors huddled into one spot. "What's wrong?"she asked in her cheerful tone. Her smile soon faded as she saw the grave. She sniffed it. "No..."she said, her thoughts flashing back to memories of her good friend and the one she always treated like a pup even though fully grown. Se sniffed the air. "D-Duskfang too?..."she took a step back. She howled sorrowfully. The deputy then looked very depressed. She then turned to her clanmates. "I-I will make my way to the moonstone after mourning for these two losses."she murmured. "We have lost to great warriors today."she murmured. She then stood by the grave.

Jadefeather perked her ears as she heard a howl coming from the clearing and recognised Snowflower's voice. Thank goodness she's back... about time, Jadefeather commented silently and rose to her feet. Shaking her fur and stretching, Jadefeather cast another worried glance over to Brokenglare, placed her nose to the female's ear tip in a gesture of comfort before padding out of the warriors den and towards Snowflower. Dipping her head in respect to their new leader, she gave a sad sigh guessing Snow had already figured out what had happened. "I-I'm so sorry we couldn't save them. Heatherstar just collapsed and there was nothing we could do. Duskfang neither..." Jadefeather explained but trailed off. She wanted to say more to try comfort Snow but couldn't find the right words.

Smokepup turned her head as she heard Snowflower's howl. Well, at least she's back, the pup thought. Smokepup yawned, as she had grown tired from all of the day's events. She convinced herself to stay awake, in case something important happened.

Swiftstreak shook he's head drying the tears from he's sore eyes... The new leader was here and Duskfang also was did, which Swiftstreak did not care about really. The male went to the fresh kill pile to pick up a rabbit. The black male looked around to the slightly familiar faces, now he had lost he's mate and only friend he sighed, nothing was here for him, truly he didn't even belong here like duskfang hounded him for as Snowstar was now leader and probably raggedfur would be deputy the male atleast knew that windclan would somehow pull through. The black warrior left the camp as. He walked out to the windover farm.

-Windover farm-

Jadefeather watched as Swiftstreak left. I've got to do something... she thought seeing the pain in his eyes as he left. "Stay well Snowy, I know you'll do a great job at being Windclan's leader." she barked and touched her nose to Snowflower's ear before turning towards the camp entrance. Padding out of camp, Jadefeather followed Swiftstreak's scent. She guessed he might want to be left alone, but Jade had to be sure that he would be able to cope with so much grief.

-Windover Farm-

Barkstripe cringed hearing Snowflower's voice. Well,Snowstar now. "Heatherstar really is gone." He sighed and flicked his tail. He then turned to Smokepup. "How are you coping little one?" He patted the young fae's head playfully.

Raggedfur noted glumly that Snowflower, soon to be Snowstar, had returned to camp. He could see the obvious grief in the she-wolfs howl for her fallen mate and leader, and another stab of pain wriggled into his heart as the camp once again massed in a collective band of sorrow. He resisted the urge to trail over to Snowflower and pay his own respects, but the crowd that had already gathered around her kept him from doing so - he didn't want to unload more pressure on the she-wolf than there already was. Vowing he'd speak with her later, Raggedfur instead occupied himself with looking around camp. Almost instantly his eyes trained on Okami's unmistakable form and markings, and without really thinking about it he was on his paws and headed for the she-wolf. He hadn't even realized she'd returned to camp - or, for that matter, where she'd been in the first place.

Raggedfur slowed as he reached the familiar female, the smallest beginnings of a grin quipping at his muzzle as he tried to summon some sense of happiness and familiarity, but he quickly gave up. There was no passive, positive light to be found in the sorrowful gloom that had shrouded Windclan territory, and he trusted that Okami would understand as he seated himself beside her, his black pelt brushing against hers in stark contrast to the gleaming white. He wondered if Okami had been particularly close with Heatherstar or Duskfang - it didn't seem like it. She would obviously be affected by the death of her leader, as was certain for all Windclan wolves, but at least she hadn't been struck by some deep, crippling, internal sorrow. Raggedfur was beyond glad. She'd already endured enough depression and heartbreak in her young life. Subconciously and despite the growling internal voice that whispered for him to do otherwise, Raggedfur found himself leaning into Okami, the warmth and realness of her pelt gleaning some of the strength that he was used to, as opposed to the dull pain that had wriggled into his heart at the news of his dead clanmates.

"Were you close to them?" He asked, acutely aware of Okami's pulsating heartbeat that he could feel beneath her flesh. "Dusk and Heather, I mean."

A small smile spread over Smokepup's muzzle as Barkstripe patted her head. "I'm doing fine. It's just...What are we suppose to do now?" the small fae asked quietly.

Barkstripe then tired to open up a grin. "Well,now Snowflower goes to the moonstone and becomes Snowstar." He blinked his golden eyes,then sighed. The grin disappeared from his face. "But it'll be hard to remember about Heatherstar this way." His paws flinched and clawed up ground.

Snowflower stood up. She then looked to her friends and clanmates. "I will be leaving with a warrior since Bluepaw isn't here."she said. "I choose you, Brokenglare."she said.

Brokenglare raised her head from the ground, as she heard her name being mentioned. "Huh?, she mumbled lowly, with a dusky voice. When realizing the new leader wanted her to travel along to the moonstone, she stood up and walked out. I might not have the strenght  to walk that far in this state, but I should give this wolf a chance to show that she's worthy taking Heatherstar's place..., she thought as she reached the spot where the coming leader stood. "Yes, sir...", she said in the most uplifting tone she could manage, still sounding a little dark. She shook her ruffy and thorn-looking fur, hoping for it to clear up a little.

Smokepup perked her ears. "Sure!"  She stood up and stretched her back. Being a pup, she didn't get out of camp much, so she was more than happy to leave with Barkstripe. "Where are we going?"  she asked.

"Let us depart."she said to Brokenglare. "Thank you all for the support."she murmured. She sighed. Her mate was gone and so was their leader, what was going to happen next was all she could think about.

Brokenglare nodded and padded after her new leader. Hopefully, this will go all well..., she thought as she tried to keep up, even though the small bruises on her paws was very annoying. Everything that has been happening, it happens too often, I wonder why Starclan is doing this..., she continued thinking. She kept walking after her leader, trying to hold her head high, even though looking at the ground fwlt more fitting for her mood right then.

~Moonstone~

Grizzlypup watched as four wolves filed out of camp. He sniffed,then curled up in his nest. He flicked his tail in the air. Then settled it on top of him. His breathing was the only thing he could hear.

Grizzlypup yawned and rolled over. He smacked his lips and opened his eyes slowly. He shook his head and sat up awkwardly. He yawned again and arched his back in a stretch. Grizzlypup rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck. He then turned to walk out the nursery. Flexing his long claws as he did. He shook out his pelt. Scattering pieces of moss around the den. He sighed with relief when the bright sun hit his back. "Ehh,might as well sneak out of camp." He turned and made his way to the entrance. The brambles hiding his brown pelt.
