The boundary between ThunderClan and StormClan

Trotting through the mud,she then shook her paws. "How can Stormclan bear this?" She sighed and kept walking. She marked part of the border and noticed a wolf's body. She blinked. "Owlscreech? I thought you hated water..." She trailed off. He's underwater. He can't hear me. She shook her head and sat down. Keeping her tail in her paws.

The medicine wolf lifted his head, a water herb clenched in his jaws he waded over to the thunderclan side. making sure to stay in the river wich was stormclan land he said through the herbs in his mouth "wata gwovs bedder heds". he mumbled a bit as he watched the Thunderclan deputy. he flicked his long tail.

The large multi-colored wolf padded along the border, his keen eyes scouting around while his nose and ears worked vigorously to ensure that no one approached within his knowing. He had taken to lead after leaving the old Shadowclan camp, now he slowed dropping back to allow Honey to over take him or come abreast. After a time of silence a voice, all be it muffled, reached his ears. Curious Apache held his tail erect alerting Honey that he had detected something before moving toward the area of the sound, rounding an outcrop of trees Apachewind spotted a wolf standing in the river, herbs dangling from his mouth. "Hello there, bringing herbs to the fishes now are we." he called, his voice light and friendly. "I don't think any of those will help them, after all who knows how herbs that treat wolves will affect those scaly fellows!" Spotting Hawkpool Apache continued in the same friendly tone. "Greeting Hawky how are you this fine day, helping our dear old medicine wolf tend to the water life?"

Honeysplash padded up beside Apachewind, keeping hidden she watched as Owlscreech had walked over to Hawkpool. her brown eyes blinked watching how the two interacted. she flicked her ears then walked out to stand properly beside Apachewind. Her ears twitched a little with intrest, she felt good being beside this other wolf. she filed away that thought for later complentation and for now focused on her brother. her brother probbaly wouldnt like her hanging out with Apachewind, and her tail twitched closer to her as she thought of the later scolding she was probbaly going to get. however she held her head high and watched them with inner pride. her brown/black fur moving a little in the last breeze of Leafbare. she didnt speak however, she just waited to see what would happen. shenormally was very friendly and quite willing to make friends. however today... she just felt perhaps a tiny bit shy. Instead her eyes wandered around searchin for something to mark a new discovery.

Owlscreech whirled around and fluffed up his fur ready to attack before he recognized the scents. he grunted and noticed his sister there beside the other odd wolf. he lashed his tail and growled "stay away from my sister Apachewind". his yellow ambery eyes glittering with a protectiveness of his sister. he lashed his tail before glancing at hawkpool and giving a flick of his ears to apoligise. picking up his dropped herbs he swam back to the stormclan side of the river and waited.

Apache gave a disarming smile to owlscreech, not at all offended by his harsh warning. "My friend, we were simply patrolling the border after meeting and finding that we share a similar philosophical mindset." He stated, choosing not to tell this male that Honeysplash was her own being and controlled her own actions. It was not his place to decide who she chose tot socialize with, even if he was her brother. However because he was her brother Apache understood that he was naturally protective of her, however he would be sorely disappointed when Honey enacted upon her agency. "You have quite the brilliant sister, her mind is as sharp as a fang. You are lucky to have such a women as a relative." He was quite happy that Honey had chosen to come stand beside him, even if it meant incurring the medicine wolf's wrath. It was bad form to go attacking one another, even so he made a mental note not to come to Owl for an medical care for a while. he would have to make due with the herbs he knew of, he naturally curious personality and quick mind allowing him to learn much of the herbs used to heal simply by observing his clan-mates as they cared for the sick and injured. "You'd do well to watch her though, she is far to beautiful for her own good, I'm surprised the entire single male body is not following her where ever she goes." He flashed Owl an amused grin," I supposes she has you to thank for that, one's privacy is always important especially for such a striking maiden!"

Honeysplash stared down at her paws if she could blush she would be. however she lifted her head and said in a cool tone "i thank you for your concern brother, But in Apachewind i have found a kindred spirit". her brown eyes glittered with a cool grace "i trust that once you have cooled down you will realise how good it will be for me to have a Friend who understands my way of thinking". she calmly defended Apachewind as if she had been doing it all her life. her ear flicked at Apachewind silently telling him not to worry about owlscreech. her older brother had always been ostenatious. she curled her thick tail over her back lightly. warning owlscreech not to annoy her.

owlscreech glared daggers at his sister then spat out his herbs and began wrapping them in leaves. he muttered "you had better not get pregnant sister", he had quite plain veiws on the idea of queens and birthing. and he didnt want his sister to go through that. he was a bit of a control freak around his sister, but hey, thats what big brothers are for. he glared at that smug apachewind. his eyes glittering.

Apache blinked in surprise at owl's comment, how did this conversation go from 'I found a friend' to ' you better not get pregnant'? An eye brow raised at Owlscreech, his expression telling the male he was disappointed in Owlscreech's reaction, she had said nothing about liking Apache and he in tern had not made any such desire evident in the way he reacted toward her. or had he? He understood his words were considered flirtatious, but never would he try to court a female using his tongue, if was far to over used to allow it to play any role in him trying to gain a mate. No, he had simply found a comrade, someone who shared his love of philosophy and grasping the unfathomable. His leaned closer to Honey. "Do I really come across as that kind of guy?" He muttered in low undertones. He had enjoyed watching Honeysplash stand up to her brother, she had a fiery spirit, if only she could see the beauty she possessed. She would then be an unstoppable force to recon with, like those the freezing snow she would not only be beautiful but deadly. of course he didn't doubt her capabilities as a warrior, after all Shadestar would have not given her her Warrior name if he believed she was unready, but if she only knew the confidence knowing you looked good could bring, as well as the weapon one's looks could become. Perhaps he shouldn't share that bit of information with her, he didn't need pretty females going off and taking over the clans on his conscience. He didn't doubt that she could do it for a second, her mind was indeed as sharp as her looks.

Honeysplash pulled up short at Owlscreeches comment and she bared her teeth snapping coldly "We both know that im barren you old cod fish! go get hawkpool pregnant brother for all i care". she turned and walked away not wanting to speak another word to her brother. her brown eyes glittered coldly. her face a mask, owlscreech was going to get a severe talking to later.

Apache followed after the furious female, concern etch across his face at her comment. He could not understand the pains of not being able to have pups, but it surely must be a terrible thing for a women not to be able to have children. Remaining closely behind her the male searched for the right words to say, keeping behind her never over taking her so as to allow her room to breath.

Owlscreech snorted after Apachewind had left. he turned and began stomping back to camp. his fluffy tail straight out behind him. he growled to himself.

Feathersoul padded to the edge of the border. The rain had let up to a gentle drizzle. The small black fae welcomed the coolness, letting it seep into her fur. She felt her stomach lurch a bit, knowing that it was something else besides a bad meal. I'll have to come clean soon. she thought sadly, gazing up at the stars. Her black eyes reflected, like they were stars themselves as she drew her tail around her paws, sitting in silence.

Owlfeather appeared ignoring the Rain he splashed into the water his golden eyes watching a fish. with a powerful swipe of his paw he flicked a fish up onto the bank and killed it with a bite. feeling eyes on him he looked up and noticed feathersoul. his body tensed and he prepared himself for conflict. though he had come here to get away from conflict.

Feathersoul turned her gaze, locking hers with Owlscreech's. "Nice catch," she said simply. She turned back to the sky. Her eyes focused on the stars of Silverpelt, wondering what her Clanmates were doing up there.

He flicked his ears and said "thanks" finishing off the fish he shook out his pelt and notedthe scratch on her shoulder "do you want me to see to your shoulder Feathersoul?". he asked with a slight tilt of his head. he smiled almost kindly at the other wolf.

Feathersoul flashed at glance at the male, shifting her bloodied and raw shoulder uneasily. "You wouldn't mind?" she asked with a quizzical gaze. The first time they met, they had hated eachother through and through. I guess life can have some pretty weird turns.

He shrugged "not at all, im not half the medicine wolf that Ravensky was" he swam over and inspected it, he frowned and scooped up some watter in his paw and trickled it onto the wound to get the dirt and grime out. he dug up a comfrey root and chewed it before lightly nosing it onto her wound. finally he wrapped it up well with cobwebs. "there done"

Feathersoul smiled at the normally grumpy old Medicine Wolf. "Thanks." She glanced at the ground again. She let out a small "mmph" as her belly lurched again, shifting back to a comfy position.

He flicked an ear hearing the sound. he turned and looked at her with a quizzical eye. he flicked his eyes over at the stormclan land and grunted "cant wait when this alliance ends, stormclan is stronger than Shadowclan but its not the same". his eyes glittered up at highstones then he said to feather "what is your opinion of Sunclan?"

Feathersoul looked at Owlscreesh once again, her gaze calm. "I think its good that a new Clan has arose. Especially since they never felt at home in their own Clan. I hope they've found good will in SunClan." She turned back, staring at the trees. She listened to the quiet rustling of the branches, and she closed her eyes, feeling one with the forest, as all true ThunderClanners did.

Owlscreech grunted and said "Skyfeather has had pups, a long difficult birth with a lot of screaming". he snorted "the father is obviously tallfeather, and shade intends to keep the pups. good for the clan i say though i doubt those pups will bring anything good to the clans at the most? war". he sighed it was nice to be able to talk to someone who wouldnt judge him too harshly. he was a naturally grouchy and snappy wolf. but thats what made him such a good medicine wolf. he knew when to use his temper to get wolves to listen to him, he remembered when he was a warrior apprentice and sighed. he missed those days of being able to just muck about.

Feathersoul too missed her Warrior days. And then I might be able to be with Nightowl. She shook her head, quickly reviving herself to the real world. "That's terrible. Is Skyfeather allright?" Birthing of pups was always a good to the Clan, but an illict relationship could turn that into a nightmare.

He grunted "obstinate and not listening to reason, she only moved from the nursery today after i prodded her for the good part of a moon". he gave a grumpy growl and glared over at where the camp was "her pups are rather weak and clingy and havent opened their eyes or talked. Sparrowheart gave birth to a future medicine wolf."

Feathersoul's eyes lit up at the mention of a future Medicine Wolf being born. "Congratulations!" She paused. "Wait...how do you know she'll be a Medicine Wolf?"
