Great Sycamore

Swiftpaw slipped and he jumped back and got head butted in the muzzle by the pig, he slide back and let out a growl. As blood trickled down he's nose, he was going to kill this pig for sure now, swiftpaw ran directly at the pig and at the last second he moved to he's left as the pig flew passed him. Swiftpaw clamped he's jaws down on its shoulder and shook he's head pulling the pig.

Phoenixfire watched then said "we will head back to camp after this to return the prey to camp then we will go straight to the shadowclan border" his orange yellow eyes glittered with pride in the apprentices he turned and began padding back to camp. his ears tilted back slightly.

The sound of birdsong filled the forest as the beautiful female trotted along behind the male, her body moving elegantly through the forest her eyes taking in everything around her marveling at the beauty of the land. "Your home is astonishingly beautiful," She commented," it reminds me of the woods I used to play in as a young pup when my father ruled our kingdom, I would hunt for herbs while my sister would pretend as if she were a mighty Warrior in battle." She laughed the sound like unto the tinkling of a silver bell, the memory did cause pain, after all she had no idea where Kite was. but she would enjoy her past none the less.

He shrugged "all of the clans homes are beautiful in their own ways" the thunderclan male replied. his large body wide and sturdy beside her petite frame. he flicked his tail shaking his head "i worry for the clans, dissent is rising and many wolves are loving wolves in another clan" he shook his head and continued on thinking carefully.

"It seems such evils plague every part of the world," She commented, remembering her own pack, "Perhaps I could be of some service in smoothing things over, once I have become acquainted with all the Clans and laws of this land. Decent and deception are dangerous diseases that if left untreated can destroy a pack, a mountain that stands divided will fall. " Her tail swayed behind her, her form looking rather small compared to that of the male yet she carried herself with such confidence and power that made her looks twice as large.

Phoenixfire sighed a little and replied "evil lurks in everyones heart, waiting to spring out, most of us live our lives with out it ever comign out to much" his orange eyes blinked before he began leading the way down to the owl tree. his paws sure and steady.

Again she nodded in silent agreement, ever wolf had the potential to do good our evil the only question was which path they would choose to follow. Padding quietly beside Phoenix Caprina followed him as he lead the why, memorizing the route they had taken, if she was to join this clan she would need to know her way around the territory.

Rainstar arrived a long time after the two wolves had left, so their scent was rather dim. She sighed and sat down on a root. When she had been small she would come here and just hang out with her brother. She sighed and lied down between two roots. Her head rested upon her rather small paws, which made moving around silently easier. She yawned her white teeth gleaming in the dim light of the night. She trusted that the two young warriors would do their vigil and that everyone would be able to care for themselves. They were old enough to. Without much thought she drifted into a light nap.

Scent of multiple wolves had overcame her glands, though she recognized one; her mothers. Eviepaw had finally made it to the Great Sycamore, her tail wagging proudly from left to right. With a small bark like sound, she tried to get her mothers attention. Though she slowed to a halt, her eyes bounced around taking in the amazing beauty, the smells of everything. She felt this place have a great past, and a wonderful future.

Shaking herself she had casted aside the amazement. She had to tell her mother something and it was extremely urgent.

Rainstar's head snapped her, her a blue eyes bright and with a fury. She looked up to see Eviepaw, she chuckled and rubbed her muzzle between her paws. A large yawn escaped her muzzle exposing large and long fangs. "How may I help you?" The leader did not notice the urgency in Eviepaw's gaze. She stood stretching out.

"Momma! Two pups had left camp, I have no clue where they went... I went into where you sleep and you weren't there BUT I tracked you all the way here... Even though I got lost some..." With a huff she had squatted before plopping her furry bottom on the ground. A shuffle of leaves seemed to crush under her weight. Her ears pressed towards her cranial, knowing she would probably get in trouble, but she really couldn't trust anyone but her mother and best friend. Probably because she never interacted with them. Though her eyes had settled on her mothers form.

Rainstar froze, pups leaving camp? A slow growl erupted from within Rain. She looked at Eviepaw, "Thank you, now lets go see if we can find a trail of troublesome pups." Rain shook out her pelt freeing it from leaves and dirt. She yawned and nodded heading off at an even pace.

-Camp

Eviepaw had nodded before rising to her paws, shaking off what her mother had flew at her. Making swift pace just behind her. Her ears seemed at attention the whole time. Something didn't seem right. Something seemed, disturbing.

-TC Camp-

Featherpaw emerged from the thick undergrowth, her black eyes imetiatly drawn to the massive trunk that stood before her. She craned her neck upwards to gaze at the baring branches of the ancient tree, its large leaved gently fluttering downward. An icy blast of wind barreled into the small apprentice's side, seeping through her thick black pelt and chilling her to the bone. She shivered, and began the hike up the twisting and gnawled roots of the Sycamore. She rested her haunches on a large root near the the base of the tree, overlooking the ground for anything moving. She sat erect, her ears perked, listing for any sounds of prey.

Echosong slunk through the bushes, the traveling herbs making her mouth water. Her eyes brightened as she saw Featherpaw and she quickened her pace. leaping up beside her apprentice, she lay the herbs at her feet. "Ready to visit Starclan?" she said, her voice full of excitement.

Featherpaws claws unsheathed instinctivly when a loud rustle crashed through the undergrowth, her hackles raised adn a growl rising in her throat. It immidiatly died down when she recognised Echosong approaching, a bundle of traveling herbs clamped in her jaws. Her fur lyed flat and her claws sheathed once more when the young Medicine Wolf hopped up beside her, sitting down on the root. Ready to visit StarClan? Those were the words the small apprentice had been waiting for this entire time, and she couldn't stop a yip of happiness echoing through the forest. "Of course i am!" she exclaimed, quickly bending down and lapping up a few of the bitter herbs from the pile, her tail thumping against the rough root. She bounded down onto the leave-coated floor, clearing the leap in a single hop, and stood waiting for her mentor. "Come on! What are we waiting for?"

Echosongs nose twitched with amusemnt and she followed her apprentice down of the roots, her eyes shining. "Were not going to wait for anything," she promised. "Lets go." She flicked her tail and headed of into the undergrowth, her paws finding the familiar path, her ancestors calling.

Featherpaw bounced after her mentor, her eyes gleaming with excitement. I finally get to meat with StarClan! She couldn't control her excitement as she slipped in stride behind her mentor. Her mind buzzed with excitement, and her paws leading her blindly on to a new destiny.

Echosong took her place gravely at the bottom of the great tree. Her pelt ruffled against the cold breeze that brought small flurries of snow, she thought about the prophecy. Surely Starclan wont mind if I talk about it with my own apprentice. Besides, we wont go into the details.But if this is for the safty of the pack we must figure it out. The most reasonable place woud be the snake rocks, where it would be guarded by a poisonous bite, but Starclan speaks in riddles. What if thats not it?" Her eyes scanned the forest for signs of Featherpaw.

Featherpaw darted from the undergrowth, her sleek black pelt ruffled and wild as usual. She strode up to Echosong, but her tail drooped when she sensed the tension in the air. She sat down on one of the rough roots that surfaced from the earth, her paws kneading the frosty ground. "This is about the prophesy.....isn't it...." she whispered, hoping that her mentor and she were alone.

Echosongs amber eyes searched the forest once more, making sure they were alone. "Yes," she said eventually. "I beleive we must talk about its means. I, for one, think that the darkness might be Darkforest wolves, yet one can never be sure. What do you think about the prophecy?" Her voice was on the verge of tiredness. She didnt want to ofload some of her worries on her apprentice, but knew it must be talked about.

Featherpaw looked at Echosong. "I think your right about that, but i think we should run over the prophesy one more time....just to be sure," the young apprentice said, and she began to think aloud. "Ok, of Brave and Bold, the forest wolves seek, that must be about ThunderClan," she wondered, although she was pretty sure her wise mentor had already figured that out. "Location old, a dangerous place not for the meek....hmm...perhaps the Owl tree?....No....." This one stumped the young apprentice. "It probably Snakerocks," she decided, and concentrated on the next part of the prophecy. "Guarded fiercly with a posionus bite...Snake Rocks, it has to be. Hidden away out of sight! It all makes sense now. So the crystal must be somewhere at Snake rocks......in one of the cracks of the rocks or somewhat," The apprentice shook her tail happily, proud of herself for making out StarClan's prophesy. "Wait.....StarClan works in mysterious ways...."out of sight"...." Her mind whirled, and she shook her head to clear her muddled thoughts. "What do you think?" she asked her mentor.

Echosong listened intently to Featherpaw as she mused about the prophecy. "Yes. I believe it might be at the Snakerocks. It is the place best suited to the riddle. And Starclan does speak in riddles but we can be save knowing that the riddle most likely wont have a riddl in it. But what are we looking for? A bright large crystal? A dull small crystal? For all we know the crystal could be a rock that we need to break open to find it. And we both know that the Snakerocks are rocks." The medicine wolf stopped for a moment, pondering. "And apparently we must beware of the Dark wolves, who are also after the crystal." It made her feel a lot better speaking to Featherpaw about it. With them working together they could find the answer easily.

Featherpaw nodded, but suddenly, a strange idea popped into her head, and she couldn't help feeling excited about it. "Wait! If the crystal represents something good, then we might have to focus on something bad instead!" she wondered what her mentor thought of this. "Or perhaps it had to do with something evil! What if it were inside an adder or snake? Or perhaps an evil glint of something?" the ideas rolled off her tongue, and she had no idea weather half the stuff she was practicly screaming was even half right.

Echosong took a step back as her apprentice rushed her with a torrent of words. "That would be pretty dangerous if it was inside a snake," she said, trying to calm her apprentice down. "But it is a possibility we might be looking not for a crystal itself, but something that could represent one. Like you said, maybe a shining glimmer where it shouldn't be, or a strange reflection. But I do think its substantial." The medicine wolf sighed. "I hope we can figure this out soon."
