Sandy Hollow

*Scratch held his ground, refusing to retreat despite his intense fear of humans.* I'm staying right here. *He peeked nervously at the figures cutting down the trees.* Do you have a plan to deal with these humans?

She sighed. "Alright,but try not to kill them. Kill one,they're al over you." Most likely i guess. She quickly added to herself. "And no,i don't think we have a plan. Just to scare them away i guess."

Featherpaw emerged from the undergrowth. Her fluffy black paws sank into the soft sand of the hollow.glancing around, she spotted a flash of orange, hiding a little ways away. Phoenixstar would have my pelt if he found me here! she thought. Scrambling up the nearest tree, a young ash, she peered down from the dizzying height. She spotted moving figures, wearing brightly colored clothing and wielding sharp shiny things, striking trees repeatedly until they crashed to the ground. Mangy Two-legs! They're so stupid, chopping down trees like that!

Twitching his ears Phoenixstar said calmly "we will chase them into a corner then advance on them to scare them then let them leave so they understand that we are merciful but we will attack them if we have to" his orange eyes glittered and he sat down watching scratch interact with hawkpool. a slight smile etched itsself on his face.

*Scratch thought for a moment, trying to determine the best way to deal with the two-legged mammals.* I think we should ambush them. They won't have any time to prepare for us and they'll be completely surprised. That should scare them enough to make them leave. What do you two think about it?

She studied the two brutes. "Ambush would be helpful. They still don't acually know we are here." She whispered lowly,glancing at the twoleggeds from time to time. "Yet,we could still use that plan to corner them." She flicked her tail in excitment. "But,well need to sector the area." She looked up above the bushes. "So,we could have a pair of wolves,and corner them. With each pair in different areas to herd the twoleggeds into corners." She then dropped back into a crouch.

Phoenixstar glanced at scratch "we would need way more wolves for that". His orange eyes glittered with fury at these creatures imposing on his territory. flicking his tail through the air he stated "we could try herding them out of our territory". His orange pelt flickered like fire in the bright sunlight.

She paused for a second. "Yes,but the hollow covers quite a bit of space. How do you intend to do that with twoleggeds still in the clearing? I mean,you would leave some twoleggeds behind with that plan" She pondered the thought. It could work. But if we were to take all of them,would take a couple more wolves. She sighed and shook her head.

Featherpaw watched the patrol try to think of new ideas. So far they were coming up with nothing. Sighing, she scrambled down to the ground, her black pelt blending in with the shadows of the forest. She slunk over to where the small huddle of wolves stood. "I'll help," the black fae said. "We could form a line and advance towards them if there's a line it will look like there are more wolves than just us."

Phoenixstar nodded and said "well might as well put that to good use" *he frowned* "yet there are only four wolves, and plenty of these two leggeds. i think perhaps they are smarter than they appear". His orange eyes glittered he turned to featherpaw "Featherpaw, go and get Firespell and Streakpaw". he turned his attention back to the two legs with his orange eyes.

Featherpaw listened intently when Phoenixstar spoke. "Okay. I'll be right back." The black fae turned tail and dashed back to the camp

~TC Camp~

She pondered the idea,but feather soon vanished before she could ask questions. "Hmm,good idea. We'll have to try anything at this point." She shrugged,and sat up. Rolling her aching limbs.

Streakpaw dashed into the hollow. "I was about to got to-" She trails off. "Featherpaw said you needed me." She looks at the leader, and the other wolves.

Firespell slowed to a walk and crept up to Phoenixstar. "We got your message, Phoenixstar", she said, her amber eyes glinting. The firey female narrowed her eyes as she gazed at the two-legs. "What are we going to do about them?" She looked around at the other wolves.

Phoenixstar shrugged and said "i still think an idea of herding them away, less worry of someone getting hurt and more likely that they will leave" He flicked his tail and continued "we will form a U shape and begin forcing them out. toward the river... we'll drown them, or at least force them up the river out of our territory" he gave a yawn his his white fangs glittering, with a flick of his tail he crept around and flicked his tail, directing firespell to the other side of the clearing and icepaw to go with her. he also flicked his ears telling hawkpool and scratch to stay there. he nodded to Streakpaw to join him.

Nodding to Phoenixstar,she sighed. He seems distant at times. And confused. Maybe it was because of Rainstar. She shook her head. "Yet,no matter what,we have to keep our duties,and ourselves in line." She glanced at scratch. Nodding to him swiftly.

Firespell understood and, beckoning Icepaw, crept low over to the outside side of the clearing. Using her hunting skills, she made it and then crouched down. She waited for Phoenixstar to give the signal. "It's like hunting, I suppose", she murmured quietly.

Streakpaw lowers herself in the bushes. She is so low, her elbows are flat on the ground. She looks at phoenixstar. I think we're ready.

Featherpaw darted into the clearing. I'm so late! she thought. She saw that the patrol had split up into groups. She glanced over where Firespell and Streakpaw were, and because there were only two of them the black fae slunk over to them. She crouched low, although she really didn't need to considering her tiny size. I wonder what we'll do with them, the medicine wolf apprentice though as she stared at the Two-legs through narrowed black eyes.

Firespell heard pawsteps and turned her head slightly to see Featherpaw coming towards her. She gave a tiny nod before looking back at the Two-legs. Phoenixstar's plan is great, she thought. But we must use the element of surprise to drive them back.

Featherpaw's gaze flickered over to Firespell as she gave her a nod. The black fae turned vack to the Two-legs. Her fluffy black tail flicked impatiently from side to side, her gaze boring into the strange creatures. I wonder when we'll strike.

Seeing the other wolves. She sank her claws into the chilly ground in her excitment. She grinned. I haven't been this excited in ages!! I can't wait to get my claws on them. She growled,and flicked her tail. Watching in anticipation as the twoleggeds chopped at the tree.

*Scratch didn't communicate with anyone. He didn't show excitement or fear. The only thing he focused on was the group of humans cutting down the trees. His eyes were fixed intently on them and his ears were perked up. If it weren't for the puffs of water vapor that rose from his nostrils from time to time, one might have thought he were frozen.*
