Twoleg Bridge

Not far off from the river, there is a Twoleg bridge upstream. Rarely any twolegs visit during the colder days, but during the warmer days, twoleg kits with their mothers visit for some fun. Stay with caution.

Ripplepaw padded up to the two leg bridge and flicked her ears back. her black paws shifted anxiously in the dirt. her baby blue eyes glanced around listening for any sounds of twolegs. she smiled to herself as she couldnt scent or hear any two legs. her white fluffy fur made her stand out against the green grass and plants. she blinked and sighed, her black nose quivered as she scented the dog pack that had been hanging around riverclan territory. she shrugged adn continued waiting for stoatpaw.

Ripplepaw took a moment to think then grinned "lets chase those mangy muts out of our territory!" a dark gleam entered the apprentices baby blue eyes. her tail whipped through the air as she stood and batted a paw at Stoatpaw "we will show graystar and the clan that we arent helpless anymore!" she announced proudly. her black paws shifted a little nervoursly over the grass before she grinned and nipped at her friends nose then began sniffing around for the wolves. Ripplepaws fur was much longer than most wolves, an oddity in her. She was a bit of an oddball even as a pup she would suck on her tail as she slept. her baby blue eyes glanced around even as her ears swiveled around to scope sounds. Under her thick fur that made her look like a tank, the fae was actually rather slender, and slightly emaciated. she didnt enjoy eating, it always made the strange fae feel sick. she hid many secrets under her poofy fur.

Ripplepaw glanced back at stoatpaw and grinned "lets show em whos boss!" with a snarling bark she leaptup at the approaching dog. she was slightly smaller than it but she had spirit. with out a pause she practised one of the battle moves that graystar had taught her. she slammed her paw down on the dogs muzzle her claws sinking into the flesh and peeling back skin. leaping down she dodged its attack then leapt up to sink her fangs into its ears. (sorry for the lame post)

Ripplepaw paused for a moment then said "i think about five!" she yelped as she got knocked back and fell to the ground. she got up and said quickly "i dont think that they can swim! why dont we lead them into the river?" her baby blue eyes sparkled with fear, she couldnt swim! she hated the water! the white apprentice leapt up again and sunk her claws into the leading dogs eye causing it to howl in pain.

Ripplepaw got thrown onto the ground as a dog loomed over her she shoved her back paws into its face then raced off towards the bridge "ill do anything to save the clan!" she barked. most of the dogs followed the small apprentice, she stopped as she leapt onto the bridge. her paws slipping on the wet wood a little. she glanced back seein the dogs, fear made her choose to jump. with a howl she leapt down into the water soon disappearing beneath the surface, most of the dogs appart from the one that stoatpaw was battling leapt after her and soon drowned under the waters tuburlent surface. the white apprentice struggled under the water, forcing her paws to churn. holding her breath she opened her eyes lookin garound for what seemed like the surface. growing weaker by the second she managed to make her way to the surface. she gasped for breath then began swimming clumsily to the rivers edge.

Ripplepaw dragged herself onto the shore then looked around, seeing her friend she galloped over to him. covered in a few bumps and scrapes the white fluffy apprentice was fine. her ears flicked a little as she crouched down and nuzzled him she said "its ok stoatpaw! ill get you home!" glaring over at the lone dog that was left she barked at it "if you come back and try to hurt stoatpaw ill rip your fur off!" after threatening the lone dog she regarded stoatpaw, trying to figure out how she would get her friend back to camp. she crouched down properly and said "get onto my back stoatpaw! ill carry you back!" she lifted her head and stared into his brown eyes iwth her own baby blue eyes.

Ripplepaw flicked her ears and gently pulled the apprentice onto her back, her paws trembled with the weight of stoatpaw on her back. ignoring the extra wieght she began making her way back to camp. ocassionly glancing over her shoulder to make sure that the dog didnt follow them. her ears flicked back everynow and then. her baby blue eyes glittered with tiredness
-camp

The apprentice arrived, and took a breath of the fresh air while the snow was falling and dancing around in the air. Nearing the river, Fangpaw looked around, realizing he was alone. Hopefully RiverClan and ShadowClan could make a joint camp, so everyone could diverse and even get to know each other better. This whole time he was thinking, Fangpaw found himself staring into the water as each fish passed by him with its raging speed.

Now that the snow was falling, soon the river would be frozen. So he needed to act fast. The RiverClan apprentice stared into the water now with his attention fully on the water, and when he saw a trout coming by, he got ready and positioned himself. Once it came near, Fangpaw swiped his paw swiftly, and the fish slid into his claws causing the apprentice to smile in triumph. Slapping the fish down onto the earth hard, it had knocked it out long enough for Fangpaw to kill it. Happy, the apprentice looked around. Maybe he could catching some mice and squirrels too...

So that was exactly what he did. In the end, Fangpaw failed and succeeded, and ended up with 4 pieces of prey. A fish, two squirrels and a vole. Not bad for a hunt. Gathering them all into his jaw, Fangpaw padded back to the RiverClan camp happily.

-RC Camp-

Walking side-by side with his mentor,his gaze swept through the clearing. He snorted as he smelled stale dog. He then glanced at the bridge. "So is this what you were showing me? How is it useful? He glanced at it. And saw a tall twolegged with it's kit.

Silverstone padded into the area and noticed Magmafeather and Bluepaw. She walked over to them, her tail swishing happily. "Fancy meeting you here." She exclaimed. She was excited her nose did not mess up when she was following the scent. She then sneezed and turned her attention to the two males again. "You must be starving. I caught a squirel and a robin on the way. You should have them because of your hard work!" She nudged the kill with her paw to the apprentice and warriors. "So what you up to?"

Seeing Silverstone,he glanced back at the twolegged and it's kit. Get out of there! He mouthed the words quickly. And slowly retreated back into the bush. Whats going to happen to Silver? He glared at the twolegged.

Seeing a two- leg she sighed and picked up the robin and squirrel. She then followed Bluepaw into the Bush and sat down. She nudged the kill to apprentice and warrior. "Two- legs are pointless. I would never hop into a monsters tummy." She then looked at Magmafeather. "You 're being quiet." she told him.

Silverstone watched Bluepaw glance at the two-legs. "They are admiring the river by the looks of it. Strange things those two-legs do. They are also throwing tasty stuff at the cute little ducklings... i've tried the thing they're throwing at them before. And the duckling..." Her mouth watered as she saw the plump ducklings and the mother gobble up the bread. She looked at Magmafeather. "Do you think once they leave you could test Bluepaws swimming and hunting skills at the same time. I'm sure he'd enjoy that. Swimming and hunting. Just like my apprentice days."

Hearing the word mother,he clamped his mouth shut. He flicked his ears to dismiss it. I can't worry about her anymore. They're both gone. What can i do about it? He sighed,then heard silver talk. "Not with them there. If you want me to swim in front of a twolegged,your crazy."

Silverstone sighed. "I said once they left Bluepaw." She told the apprentice. "Then Shadestar and Graystar will see a good hunter in you if you arrive back at camp with 1.. 2.. 3.. 4 plump ducklings." She assured him. She licked some snow off her paw and rolled in the snow. Droplets of water dripped from her pelt as she stood up again.

Magmafeather laughed as he listened to the conversation. "Stormclan doesn't eat ducks!" He exclaimed "That'll just make the twolegs more angry at us than they already are. As for why this bridge is useful, Bluepaw, well, it allows us to cross the river on days where it is too dangerous to swim across it and too dangerous use the stepping stones in another part of the territory. But in any case, I've never heard of any wolf eating a duck."
