Twoleg Bridge

First topic message reminder :

Not far off from the river, there is a Twoleg bridge upstream. Rarely any twolegs visit during the colder days, but during the warmer days, twoleg kits with their mothers visit for some fun. Stay with caution.

Leopardpaw was about to comment on the weird twoleg thing when Thunderpaw came, acting all high and mighty with the most formal words as usual. "Oh, look who came out of the fox dung," she muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes as the other apprentice snapped back at Reddust. He was so pompous - not like herself, who was humble and meek.
That was how she thought of herself anyway.
"Why don't you go and clean the nursery? I'm sure Silkstream will be fine without you nuzzling into her shoulder 24/7," she said, loudly to gain attention. She used to be afraid of Thunderpaw, but now she was an apprentice too - well, they were the same rank now. He was no longer superior to her.

Snowstorm let out a sigh. It had been the same for a while now. Bickering every single day. (And it usually included Reddust) He was tired of it all. He wished that everyone and everything would just calm down, and everything would be peaceful for once. And the deputy hadn't even found out the worst of it. His mate, Silverheart, had been taken by the Twolegs as well. He looked over at Reddust, who was approaching the bridge. Snowstorm looked to the other side of the bridge. There was still no sign of Twolegs, and he hoped that it stayed that way.

After Snowstorm decided that he wasn't going to figure out anything else about the things that Bluepaw had been shot with, he turned away from the tree and slowly walked over to the bridge. He looked over the wooden structure, but there still wasn't any signs of Twolegs. He lowered his nose to the ground and began walking across the bridge, sniffing the whole way. When he had gotten to the middle of the bridge, he lifted his head and stared at the forest beyond again. The large male looked down and around his paws. He had never actually been on the bridge. It didn't ever seem like it would be too sturdy, but it was just as sturdy and seemed as safe as the ground which he had been on just moments ago. Snowstorm turned his head back to the others. "The Twolegs did use the bridge when they took Bluepaw, but it hasn't been used since," he said, before turning his attention back to the forest that was past the bridge which he standing on now.

Blackwidow had to say that her paws hurt from all the walking. She noticed that the ground is softer here in the forest. She looked around in fascination, there was so many different things, and creatures. She then caught site of some wolves, she wondered if there were clans down here too, or maybe they were a pack, or maybe they were loners, or rouges. She didn't try and approach thhem just yet, but she knew that they could see her. So she waited for them to make the first move.

Bane padded up behind Blackwidow, his gray gaze looking all around him. Interesting... He came to stand right next to her and smiled from behind the mask though of course now she was the only one who knew he was smiling. He caught the strong scent of wolves and turned his head, just now noticing their presence. The male froze, his fur instantly standing on end. With careful glances he spoke quietly to Blackwidow, "Blackwidow... do not tell them where we are from. If they approach as friends, say we are from far away... if they are hostile that is another story." He became quiet, he did not trust these other wolves and the male was sort of missing home but he was here with Blackwidow and here he would stay. Bane raised his head high, his gray eyes dark and cold as he looked at those other wolves. Silently to himself he vowed not to speak not until he could trust. The mask upon his muzzle glinted slightly in the sun and he took one step back. He did not like new wolves... not one bit.

Blackwidow watched the wolves silently.she nodded to Bane to let him know that she heard what he said. She could tell by him backing up that he didn't like the wolves already. She understood but she had experiences with meeting loners, you simply wait for them to make the first move and then you know what to do. She narrowed her eyes but held her ground.

Leopardpaw was about to speak again, but then the arrival of two strangers caught her attention. "Yeah, what are you doing here?" she growled, her hackles rising from her spine. These were the first wolves she had seen that did not belong to her own clan, and she was fascinated just as much as she was repelled by the sight of them.

Blackwidow rose and stood her full height. Then she calmly spoke, "just an adventurer, and who might you be? Actually where are we anyways?" She didn't really know what to make of these wolves, although she did notice that they smelled a little weird. She glanced at Bane and then looked back to the wolves, she didn't know if they were going to hostile or not.

Bane remained silent, his breathing slowing as he watched the reaction of this group of wolves. Two instantly appeared hostile, their body language stating they didn't appreciate their presence here. The large brute scoffed to himself, How cute. Blackwidow spoke next claiming her and him as mere adventurous wolves out on a voyage to explore new land. He stepped up closer to her and as he did he nearly doubled her in size as he narrowed his eyes at the wolves, the gray orbs becoming cold and dark. Loners? They were anything but, yet Bane kept his mouth closed and focused on keeping calm. The brute watched a red-eyed male step threateningly forward and his fur rose on end. They were trespassing yes, but they were not hostile and this show of dominance and aggression would not pass by Bane easily. Chase us out?, he thought, Does he believe we would merely turn around and flee in fear because of small words? So we are on their land, we can leave if they desire us to, but I will not be chased out with my tail in between my legs. Bane took a step forward as well, his hidden muzzle curling into a silent snarl. He didn't like these wolves already, but with one glance to Blackwidow he forced his temper down and just glared at them, remaining silent the whole time.

( oh and blackwidow isn't actually black, she's a reddish color, she was named black due to the weird marking on her back that is black)
Blackwidow stayed where she was. " is this how you treat somebody you just met, especially when we have expressed to be not a threat and here you are threatening me." She walked up to Bane and laid her tail on his back. "i will introduce myself if that makes you feel better. My name is Blackwidow, and this here is my mate Bane, we are not loners, but we do not come from this place. I was simply curious about life in the forest, but if it is truly your wish that we leave we will but I will not be chased out, I have done nothing wrong. We did not know this was your territory, and I apologize for trespassing." Blackwidow said calmly, trying to let them no that they were not a threat.

Snowstorm watched as Reddust raced across the bridge. Then, a scent caught his attention. He took a large whiff of the air. The scent was...strange. It appeared to be wolves, though they weren't from any of the four clans. When Reddust and Leapordpaw began speaking in hostile tones, he turned his gaze to where they were and saw the trespassers. His pure white fur stood on end at the sight of these wolves in their territory. The large deputy slowly went over to where they were. But, even when Reddust and Leapordpaw were hostile from the start, the two wolves did not seem hostile back. Well, not the smaller one with reddish color anyway. But the other one didn't seem as though he was going to try anything either. Snowstorm let his fur relax, though he did not let his guard down. "Reddust," he said in a calm tone, keeping his head held high. "They are not loners, there scent is much different. Though, it is still strange to us," he added, speaking to the strangers now. "Where exactly do you come from. You are in our territory, and if you wish to leave without any harm, then we have a right to know, do we not?" The white male stared at the two wolves, never taking his dark blue eyes off of them.

The large masked brute still remained silent, keeping his own hostile threats and actions to himself. Bane looked at Blackwidow as she introduced herself and him, his eyes growing colder upon the wolves. Black and himself were no threat to these wolves, maybe these few, sure, but from the scent on the air they weren’t the only wolves roaming around these parts. He hoped they would see this and drop their pitiful hostile act before not even she could stop him from growing angered. White caught his eye instantly averting his stone cold gaze from the small female and red eyed male as another larger white brute made his way forth. The way he held himself commanded respect and when he did not speak in a hostile tone altogether he had Bane’s respect. He calmly asked where they truly were from and if they had scented the markers. The gray brute still shook his head at Blackwidow, he didn’t want anyone to know where they were from, especially not knowing who these wolves were. As for the latter, Bane had to bite his tongue to keep his vow of remaining quiet. The powerful brute was tempted to say, “The mask prevents me from smelling anything.” But sarcasm was not in order and Bane was not one for lies either whether it was in the form of joke or not.

Now he waited, he waited for Blackwidow to speak, there was no way he was going to speak to these wolves and for two reasons. First when he spoke the sound may seem strange and the wolves may take it as a hostile tone. He did not want any misinterpretations, especially from strangers. And second, he just didn’t want to speak with strangers, only if they crossed the line would he speak. Perhaps for now he could lead them to believe he was mute, or that the mask he wore prevented him from speech. Either way he wouldn’t utter a word or sound.

The large white male shortly arrived at the bridge looking around quickly. He spotted a group of wolves "There theye are." Whitestorm said to himself before walking over he then recognized that their was a strange wolf not from stormclan or any clan from the forest. The large white scar faced male sat next to the deputy  infront of reddust and leopardpaw.  He's cold blue eyes pierced through the masked male who was roughly the same size as him and Snowstorm. "I see we a have Guest.." The rough handsome male said in a casual voice before turning to Snowstorm.  " I would have came sooner to assist in the patrol but I had other duties to attend to."  Whitestorm noticed a female that stood next for the masked male with some interest. "Hello their fine lady." Whitestorm's tone was always warm and charming towards females.

Blackwidow saw Bane shake his head at her, she could tell them nothing so she thought for a moment and then answered the white colored wolf. " we are from a pack far from here in the mountains." She didn't want them to know about their camp either in case they were planing on attacking it. Then another wolf appeared and greeted her, she laughed and then replied back. " hello, as I told your friends earlier there, I'm Blackwidow and this is my mate Bane, we have never been in the forest before, so we don't know any of the rules you have here. And thank you for your lovely comment." She said to Whitestorm. She then looked at Bane, hoping that he was going to blow, he already looked on edge.

Bane watched another, equally white and large male come along. He perked his ears at this and noted his casual tone. No hostility, good. His temper subsiding he kept transitioning between all of the wolves gathered. He took note of the river, well they had that in their favor. His head snapped up as the new male commented to Blackwidow, his voice charming and rather smooth. Bane grit his teeth his tail raising as he shook slightly, the temper that had disappeared returning twice as strong. He turned to look behind himself, trying with difficulty not to snap. He kept his teeth grit, and tried looking at Blackwidow as she spoke calmly. He nodded agreeing with her words. She wasn't telling them about the clan. He didn't want them to know, why should they know? They had no right to, but he froze. Lovely comment? Bane nodded, yes lovely indeed. He did not want to appear like some over jealous and over protective mate so he nodded and took in deep breaths only audible to himself and Black. He continued to glare at the wolves, couldn't this go faster?

His tongue felt dry, and after such a long walk he was in need of a long refreshing drink of water. With a mechanical sounding sigh, he ran his tongue in his mouth and turned to look at the water below the bridge. His gray eyes trained on the swirls and currents as it rushed past. This alone helped the brute relax some as he kept his ears trained on the wolves but his eyes on the water. Bane knew he was acting strange but he wasn't very friendly when it came to first encounters and these wolves were making him feel cornered. He wasn;t but he felt that way and that alone got him on edge.

Whitestorm watched as Silentwhisper appeared more and more of stormclans patrols were arriving at twoleg bridge. Silentwhisper asked them what were they doing on stormclan territory but that wasn't really what Whitestorm had in mind he sensed that the two wolves were hiding something. "Personally Blackwidow I think you and your masked mate are hiding something from us, and seeing you have just strolled onto our lands we do have the right to ask you questions... And due to most of our polite manner and mercy we do deserve answers." The white brute said in a cool tone more serious now he had introduced himself a few moments ago.

Bane watched even more wolves collect before them, all apparently from the same place. They most probably belong to an even larger clan or pack as these wolves may call it. He counted the wolves in his head, two large white males, a black brute, a smaller wolf probably an apprentice and a female apprentice as well. Then there was the large brown brute with red eyes, all they needed was for even more wolves to gather. The odds were in favor of the Stomclan wolves, and Bane knew this very well and still he took another step forward, standing in front of Blackwidow slightly. He was growing tired of these wolves questions, a smarter thing would have been to ask, who they were and what they did here. It did not matter where they came from, not that Bane would ever tell these wolves where they were from and he hoped Blackwidow wouldn't either.

The gray brute bristled slightly, Stupid? I am incapable of such a thing. The brute finally sat down, and looked at Blackwidow turning to her slightly as he murmured, "They have not yet told us who they are, all they have told us about themselves is that we are on the territory. I do not trust them in the least." His voice was a whisper but he knew very well that the wolves would be able to hear the rasping rumble of his mask even if they couldn't make out his words. Lucky for him as well, they wouldn't know what he said as his muzzle was completely hidden. With a faint sigh and a small smirk the gray brute squared his shoulders still looking at his mate while he kept the Stormclan wolves in his view. If they took one more step towards Blackwidow and himself, the masked brute would lose it.

Leopardpaw sniffed indignantly. "You better clear off," she said, trying her best to look authoritative in front of the two strangers. "But of course if you want your ears torn off, please -feel free to stay." It was clearly big talk for a small youngster, and despite her best efforts to look powerful and strong, in reality she looked like a young pup playing at being clan leader. She didn't look intimidating - quite the opposite. Against two adult wolves she wouldn't stand a chance, but naturally she was not aware of this. Even if she was, she would attempt to bury this fact as deep as she could within her mind.

"Who are you, anyway? W-what gives you the right to trespass?" The small apprentice mentally winced at the stammer; it had been a problem since she was a pup, especially when she got agitated or nervous. Now she had stammered her way through something which should have been all scary, it would be obvious that she wasn't as brave as she appeared to be - at least, in her mind. In reality she had looked wimpy all along, but she wasn't to know that.
