Twoleg Bridge

First topic message reminder :

Not far off from the river, there is a Twoleg bridge upstream. Rarely any twolegs visit during the colder days, but during the warmer days, twoleg kits with their mothers visit for some fun. Stay with caution.

Silverstone laughed with Magmafeather. " I caught a duck before. I think it tastes like a bird." She then flicked some snow with her tail at Magmafeather. "Why don't you try one?" She asked
the warrior. "Unless you're too scared to swim across or just think they're too cute to kill." She added in a playful tone. Her eyes gleaned with mischief and excitement, just like they did when she was an apprentice.

Silverstone nodded to the apprentice and slipped into the water. "Its freezing!" She wailed like a pup with no food. Chattering she paddled about in the water and waited for Magmafeather to jump in. "And Magmafeather, if you do come in don't splash me!" She told the male.

He smiled,and took a deep breath. Watching the white clouds puff up then disappear. He then stepped in the water. He felt a chill run through his body. But just shook it off. Stepping out,he shook his paw.

"Ducks, cute!" Said Magmafeather, almost squealing. "As if! Fine, I'll catch one. But only to show you that they're not for us to eat." He carefully watched the ducks. As one of them landed, he went onto the bridge. He waited until the duck was looking away, then jumped straight at it, quickly biting it to death. He then threw it to the shore. "There you are." He said. "Try it if you want."

Seeing his mentor,he saw moonlight shine on his pelt. He looked up and saw a full-moon. "That'll have to wait,there is a gathering to get to." He grabbed the duck,and started towards Four-trees. Seeing the stars appear,and the twolegged lamps light up.

Silverstone looked up at silverpelt. "Where we here that long?" She asked. She scratched her ear as she sat down with her hind leg. Then she looked over at Magmafeather. "Coming?" She added onto her sentence.

Magmafeather sighed. A Gathering did not really interest him right now. But he had no choice in the matter. He stalked off toward the fourtrees.

Creekpaw padded neared to the bridge. It smelled of Two-legs, but the scent was quite stale. Perhaps the water won't be nearly as deep here, he thought. He padded down the slope to the bank of the river, and he saw that he was right. He could see down to the bottom of the ground. Okay, just a quick dip to get this muck out of my fur! The large gray apprentice stepped tentively into the water, but hopping back out with a yelp. "Yeow that's cold!" he yipped, shaking icy droplets off his paws. But he knew he had to get his fur clean. Taking a deep breath, he charged out into the river, sending up waves of chilling water spalshing around him. He quickly dunked down, the river water sucking at his thick fur. But luckly his sleek pelt caused him to slip right through it's grasps. He darted up for air, the air slamming into him like an icy blast. Sucking in icy air, he franticly paddled toward the bank again, hauling himself out of the freezing depths. The dripping gray apprentice shook himselff furiously, sending drops like ice splattering the earth underneith him. His thick fur was fluffed up, making him look twice his size. The freezing Creekpaw stumbled away from the river, heading towards camp.

~StormClan Camp~

Magmafeather entered the twoleg bridge area. Thankfully, there weren't any actual twolegs around today. They would be able to hunt in peace. Calmly, he waited for the other wolves to arrive.

Following the other two wolves,he stopped by the brush. He snorted at the smell of twoleggeds. He then stood up,and made his way slowly down to the water. It was cold to the touch,and fast flowing. So it has not been frozen. He slowly stepped it. Feeling the water lap at his paws. He shivered as he felt a chill run through his body. He then looked through the crystal clear water. He saw fast flashes through the water. He the shot at one. He tried to grip it,but it flew out of its paws and onto the shore. He quickly scrambled up and took hold of the fish's neck. He tasted the salty tang of its blood fill his mouth. He then head a satisfying crack. He then brought it up to the brush. He set it down,and shook the water of his paws.

Snowstorm padded over to the edge of the twoleg bridge and lifted his muzzle into the air, taking in the stale scent of twolegs and wrinkling his nose. He padded down to the river below the bridge and watched the flowing water, waiting to see a silver flash. When he did, he leaped in after it and soon was feeling his teeth sink into flesh and was tasting blood. The white warrior trudged out of the river with a large fish in his jaws, the water in his fur weighing him down. Snowstorm padded to a spot that was a ways away from the river and dropped it on the ground before scraping dirt over the scaly creature.

Nodding to Snowstorm,he too buried his fish. He then disappeared into the shadows. He crept through the cold dense brush,and smelled for some more prey. He opened his mouth,and took a deep breath. Feeling the crisp cold air chill his nose. He wrinkled it,then scrambled after a scent of vole. He quickly walked over to it. He noticed a large hole. Probably made up of 2 voles. He tilted his head curiosly. He then dug into the hole. He noticed a few shapes quickly scurry out. But before they did,and sank his claws into them. He then took the bodies,and set them by the fish he had caught earlier.

Magmafeather quickly caught a fish and buried it. He soon caught another, larger fish, which he also buried. He then watched Bluestorm catch 2 voles. He had trained him well, and he, Shadestar's trusting of Magmafeather, and Ravensky were the main reasons Magmafeather was seeing the RC-SC alliance in a more favorable light as time went on. Then, Magmafeather caught a rather strong scent of otter, and began to follow it.

Hearing the bark, Magmafeather arrived at the otter as quickly as he could. He nearly jumped back at the shocked sight of the rotting carcass. The rats! So many of them! This was ridiculous! Even though the rats were not likely dangerous, something had to be done, if only to save the food supply. He tensely waited for Graystar to arrive.

Seeing Magmafeather,he then felt a pain. He looked down,and he saw a rat sniffing his leg then bit it. He growled and grabbed its scruff and threw it on a nearby lamp. Hearing it squeal,he noticed the others ran over. He took another step back. "Magmafeather,i don't think we need to wait for Graystar and Snowstorm" He growled at them.

As Bluestorm threw a rat off of her, Magmafeather launched onto the rats, and ignoring the injuries they were causing to him, began to kill the rats as quickly as he could. As he heard Graystar say something about the rats, he was unable to make much sense of it because the sound of him battling the rats and Graystar's voice was just too much for his one still useful ear to make sense of at the same time. He said to her and Bluestorm, "Don't wait for Snowstorm! Help me with these things!", as he continued to weaken and kill the rats, though receiving several injuries in the process. As his mindless sense took over and he launched into a uncontrolled fighting frenzy with the rats, he experienced a feeling of shame. He had underestimated the rats' power. Even though he had little awareness of what was going on, he knew that if he, Graystar, and Bluestorm were not able to kill off the rats, the rats could easily kill the pups and elders of Stormclan; perhaps even an apprentice or two.

Nodding to Graystar,he launched himself at the sea of rats. He bared his teeth,which gleamed in the light. Raking and throwing off rats,he saw them shower everywhere. He growled. He had several scratches already,but no bites. He saw a pool of blood thicken around his feet. He growled once more,and charged through a large group of rats. Which were thrown aside.

Seeing Graystar,he shook his head,and saw a rat fly away. He growled,and barked. Scaring some off. "Your not going anywhere." He snarled and jumped over infront of it. He slid around to stare at the rats. Unsheathing his claws,he growled,and stepped onto one,and sank his claws into it. It let put a small scream,and died. He growled,and took hold of one,and threw it off onto a twolegged fence. He then took the other and threw it off too.
