Fourtrees #2

Fourtrees is a group of four tall oak trees that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Fourtrees is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a large rock in the middle of Fourtrees called the Great Rock.The Clan leaders use it to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings

For this gathering, we will also be visiting an abandoned carnival. The topic will be opened once it is mentioned by Shadestar and everyone travels there.

The joy in the air made her comfortable. Then giggling she looked back at Magma barking.

Russetpup yawned, shuffling impatiently. "When is this gathering going to start?" he said, "It's getting later and later...." He listened to Rainpup's whisper, and replied quietly in her ear. "Remember - Featherpup's still here."

Skypaw rolled onto her side so she was pressed flush against the WindClan pup as she watched three pups interact and talk with each other. I was strange, to say the least, to see interaction between the Clans at Gatherings. Even though it was only her second one she had ever attended she could see that other pups were quite enthusiastic about it. But did they ever think about having to one day fight their new friends from other Clans? That was something that worried Sky day after day. What if she had siblings in another Clan she didn't know about? Or any other kin she happened to have. With a huff, Skypaw laid her head on her front paws.

Rainpup was worried, "Well I know she is here, but where is everyone else?" She whispered again and her gaze went up the rock.

Russetpup looked uneasily at Silverpup. We probably seem quite rude. Hearing Rainpup's question and her look at the rock, Russetpup twitched his ear nervously. "Us three are the only ones here...." He whispered back, suddenly wondering where the rest of his clan was.

Rain shrugged and turned her attention back to Silverpup. "May I ask how old you are?'

Russetpup stretched out his forepaws. It was hard to think that he may see Silverpup in battle one day. Quietly he stood, watching other wolves walk about the clearing. When is this thing going to start?

"I am just about 6 moons almost an apprentice!" Her voice bold and happy at the fact of becoming an apprentice.

Squirrelpup bounded toward Silverpup. Nice to see you again! His eyes gleamed and he did a play bow, wanting to play fight.

Russetpup blinked as another pup came along. "Good evening," he said, not knowing who this wolf was or indeed, which clan they belonged to.

"Good evening! I'm Squirrelpup. Who are you?" he said.

Magmapup turned his attention away from the flag. He went to sit down near Silverpup. As he did, he thought about how this would likely be his last gathering as a pup; he was almost old enough to be an apprentice.

Rainpup looked around a little astounded at how many pups there were. She stood quietly next to Russet holding her rock firmly.

She returned the bow wagging her tail "Hi squirrelpup, is it?!" Then watching as Magmapup sat near her she grinned. Then bouncing towards the Shadowclan pup with small force placing her paws on his ears.

Featherpup sat down and watched the strange strip of fabric flutter around in the air, mystified by it.

Tallpup only blinked as Skypaw rolled over, her body pressed against his -- his eyes were still fixated on the fluttering square of tattered fabric. He lowered his head on his paws, protuberant gaze never leaving the flag as he pondered its presence and what it could be. As far as he was concerned, something similar had never invaded fourtrees before, and Tallpup had the distinct impression it was the work of a twoleg. The thought made his fur crawl, but he didn't dwell on it much. Twolegs have never caused much trouble, and this flag was doing nothing but provoke curiosity.

(Man you guys totally dominated this threead! I went from looking at page 7 to having to read from that all the way to page 13!)

Lightningpaw shrugged at Apachepaw's suggestion. "Sure." Then a little bit of darkness suddenly sparkled in her eye. "The more we learn about the clans when we are young the better we can defend ourselves if anyone was to be foolish and attack." She said lightly, making her statement less as a future reality and more as just a who knows kind of thing. She wagged her tail and stood then took a few steps past the male. She brushed her tail over his head and glanced at him, grinning playfully.

Squirrelpup struggled, then tired, went into a posture of mock submission. A RiverClan pup defeat him? Never! He pounced playfully again and planted his paws on Silverpup's chest.

She nipped at her paws pulling her back legs in softly flinging him off of her. She rolled over but kept low playfully growling. Then sweeping her tail across the dust ground creating a large cloud of dust. Swinging left slid out and surprised the pup slapping her paw to his flank.

Squirrel nipped at her muzzle, and rolled her over again.

Growling she pushed to her paws and the air cleared now bobbing and weaving and hiding behind Grayheart. She ducked and tensed her muscle and laughed quietly careful not to blow her cover.

"Afraid of Greyheart are we?" whispered Magmapup. "She doesn't bite, you know. Though, still, I don't think laughing about spying is going to make her praise you."
