Fourtrees #2

Fourtrees is a group of four tall oak trees that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Fourtrees is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a large rock in the middle of Fourtrees called the Great Rock.The Clan leaders use it to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings

For this gathering, we will also be visiting an abandoned carnival. The topic will be opened once it is mentioned by Shadestar and everyone travels there.

Rainpup felt strange so she went back to sit next to Featherpup, her rock still firmly in her mouth.

"I am planning an attack!" Taking her advice she slithered back nearing a boulder near bushes. She kept her eyes on Grayheart but her ears listened for squirrelpup. Slowing her heartbeat and breath curling ready to pounce.

Rainpup lied down next to Featherpup, she slowly closed her eyes. She drifted into a light sleep. the rock fish still held firmly in her jaws. Her ears twitched at every sound but yet the pup slept.

"Russetpup of ThunderClan. Pleasure to meet you," Russetpup replied to Squirrelpup, looking up once again at the Rock. He could see a few leaders, but it didn't seem like Swiftstar was here yet.
He shuffled impatiently. It was getting later and later, and he wondered if he should consider going back. His golden eyes looked over Featherpup and Rainpup, still asleep, and saw Silverpup and Squirrelpup playing. The male yawned and stood quietly, not tired, but not particularly bouncy either.

Squirrelpup relaxed and faced his shoulder in Grayheart's direction, looking at the other pup. He saw tensed muscles and knew that the pup was planning to attack. "Better to stay relaxed," he thought.

Rain got up yawning. She looked around slightly confused, she shook her head to clear her thoughts.

Russetpup hears a noise, and sees Rainpup's awake. "Had a good nap?" he asked, stretching out his forepaws. "Still hasn't started yet." The dark brown pup looked around, flicking his ears when he hears a firebeast go across the grey path, near the human settlement he had heard about a mile or so away. He wrinkles his nose; it was loud and hurt his ears.

Rainpup nodded and sleepily got up. She sat next to her friend, still half asleep. She quickly woke up hearing a firebeast, "Ugh theyre so loud." She complained and leaned on Russet's shoulder.

Russetpup looked down at Rainpup, then back into the darkness. "I guess we don't hear it most of the time," he replied. "I wonder why they're so loud...." He trailed off and yawned, looking up, trying to see the moon.

Rainpup nodded. She stood up and looked around. She located their fish rock and picked it up not trusting anyone else.

Russetpup yawned, flicking his tail in boredom. "Can these adults just get on with it?" he grumbled, starting to pace. He wasn't good at waiting, and was easily irritated.

Rainpup noticed her friend getting irritable. She smiled, "Don't worry it will start soon you will see."

Russetpup stopped, and looked at Rainpup. "I suppose so, I just wish they'd get on with it. Swiftstar isn't even here yet." He continued pacing, kicking up dust with his paws. "What to do...." he trailed off, absorbed with pacing.

Rainpup chuckled slightly. She was entertained with her friends' pacing. She tapped him lightly with her tail, "It will start soon I promise."

Russetpup saw Rainpup's chuckle and he frowned. "I don't know, I'm just bored." He sat down on his haunches, looking at the strange object.

Squirrelpup laid down, impatient for the gathering to start. He looked to a twoleg structure and glared at it. Sure it wasn't alive, he laid down and slept, unprepared for an attack.

Silverpup glided across the boulder leaping into the air landing on squirrelpup. Growling while laughing playfully she pinned him by his shoulders.

Snowpaw padded into the clearing, he looked around and saw many wolves, but he also noticed that the wolves weren't the only thing in the clearing, there was a strange object in the clearing too, he noticed that it was a flag and thought the twolegs must have put it there, but he wondered why, he walked over to the flag and sniffed it, definitely twolegs, he thought, he sat down and looked up at the strange object, still wondering why it was there.

Rainpup sighed as Russetpup paced. When she saw him sit down she smiled, and waited for the gathering to begin.

Apachepaw nodded in agreement, catching the dark gleam in his friend's eye. He did not agree with the look, but before he could voice anything it vanished and he let it slide. Letting his eyes wander a bit he spotted another wolf enter the gathering, a young apprentice by the looks of it. "Now who might you be?" he said raising his voice so it would carry over to Snowpaw, he had seen many faces at the last gathering, but not this one.

Lightningpaw looked toward where Apachepaw was looking, her bright eyes taking in the details of the other young wolf Apache was speaking to. /Looks like an apprentice wolf, male./ She thought. Then she looked more at his build and size and such. /Looks like... maybe a Riverclan Wolf./ she thought, keeping her maw clamped shut so Apache could greet the newcomer.

Featherpup tore her gaze away from the mysterious flag and watched Rainpup and Russetpup not to far away. She padded over slowly and sat down. "So when do you guys think the gathering is gonna start?" she asked, temped to stare up at the flag again. She wasn't terrified of it, she was actuly quite curious instead, how two-legs managed to do all the crazy things they did.

"No idea." Rainpup sighed in boredom.
