StormClan Camp

First topic message reminder :

The StormClan camp is surrounded by prickly bushes and is well protected against outsiders. It is in the middle of a forest, a cross between ShadowClan and RiverClan camps. The nature of this causes the camp to become misty on particularly humid days. The leader's den are two big rocks that balance each other, creating a tunnel which is relatively large in nature. Plant matter hangs over the entrance and shields the inside from view. The elder's den is a large thorn bush, hollowed in the inside for comfort. It is well protected. The warriors den is an abandoned fox den which lost the scent of its previous owners long ago. The den has been expanded further by its new warrior inhabitants and is large enough for all of the warriors of the Clan. Beside this den is the apprentices den, which is a tree trunk which had fallen over long ago in a storm and over time was hollowed out by the elements. The nursery is similar to the Elder's den, as it is well protected by thorns and has a secure wall.

Shadowstorm felt a sharp stabbing pain, he wasn't sure what was going on, but something felt.. wrong. He wondered how his clan was doing, how his unborn pups and his mate were doing. He tried to get up, his leg was doing better. He could stand for short amounts of time and his breathing was getting better. He could not walk yet and he felt utterly useless. He wished for no more drama revolving around him.

Snowstorm's ears flicked towards the medicine den as Owlscreech told him to get some things to help Skyfeather. He stood up and quickly limped toward the entrance to camp. But he didn't reach it before Feathersoul came into camp. He stayed in camp in case he was needed, but the medicine wolf soon left. Snowstorm then turned back to the entrance and went out.

Snowstorm came back into camp and immediately went to the medicine den. He limped over to Owlscreech and dropped the herbs at his paws. "Anything else, Owlscreech?" He asked the StormClan medicine wolf, glancing down at Skyfeather, then back at Owlscreech.

Slypaw went back to sit down over by kiwipaw. Things were making him mad with everybody coming to camp. He would feel better when they left to hunt. He layed down agian in misery and waited for somthing to do to calm his nerves.

Darkpup stalked out of the nursery and looked around. He caught the scent of ThunderClan and let out a growl. Why is ThunderClan in our camp? He thought bitterly. He went over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a particularly large water vole before stalking toward a corner of camp. On the way, he went past Kiwipaw and Slypaw. The black pup, who had been born very large, glared at the newly named apprentices with his blood-red eyes and let out a growl while passing. When he reached the corner he was targeting, he began tearing into the water vole.

Shadowstorm glanced around, he wanted to move, go back to camp. But he could not walk. He could stand, but no walking. He sat back down, for he was tired from his recovery. He was always recovering. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. He thought to himself as he drifted to sleep.

Skyfeather let out a small whimper as her breathing grew short an raspy. She could feel nothing below her shoulders and the rest of her body was going numb as well. Sky's eyes were still screwed shut but they were slowly opening as she slipped in and out of consciousness until she finally passed out. Her breathing evened out shallowly and her body was limp as the third pup was still being born.

Feathersoul watched as Bluestorm led the way out. She bowed her head to Shadestar one last time before leaving. "Again, I'm terribly sorry." She turned, heading out, right on Bluestorm's tail.

Now that the excitement was hopefully over, Shadestar made his way to the rock and leaped on top of it once more. Calling the Clan forward, he looked over them all as they gathered beneath him. "It is time for another apprentice ceremony. Achakpup and Graystar please step forward." The male wolf watched his fellow leader and the small pup step forward. "From this moment, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Achakpaw. Graystar, you will be mentor to this apprentice. You are a true and trusted leader, and I hope you will pass this knowledge to your new apprentice." Once he finished speaking, he flicked his tail to indicate Clan life could continue as usual. He then leaped from the rock and went to sit down near his den again.

Slypaw went over and congratulated Achakpaw but then remembering that the pup had not liked contact or talking he retreated quickly. Slypaw went over to watch the entrence with fangclaw. Until his mentor was back. He smelt a lot of smells that were not suppossed to be there in one day. He hoped that they would stop coming. Knowing they probably would.He stayed in wait for the next one.

MeMMothpup waking up after a nap in the den,he decides to go out and chase some bug or something so he can 'practice'."i will get you" he yelled at bugs that are to fast for him.he caches one but doesn't have the heart to kill it, "why do i have to kill other" he muttered to himself.

he went back to the den to sleep a bit more and eat.

Darkpup grunted as another pup became an apprentice. He was larger than that newly named apprentice even though he was 3 moons younger. He finished his water vole and stood up, stalking over to the medicine den and peeking inside. But the black pup quickly withdrew his head at the site inside. He shuddered and quickly padded away.

Shadestar noticed the screams of Skyfeather abruptly cease, and his mind jumped to the worst. Quickly standing up and walking over to the den he stuck his head inside. Seeing the shallow breathing of the queen and the pups still coming into the world he allowed himself a sigh of relief. She had made it so far, hopefully only a couple more pups were left. Then the ordeal would be over and she could rest. Glancing around he caught sight of Slypaw looking rather bored as he waited around camp. "Why don't you go find Bluestorm at the border and hunt a little for us?" he asked the apprentice.

Slypaw nodded at his leader and now he had something to do. " I'll be back when I can." Slypaw went to the entrence of camp and looked back making sure of who was in camp. He hoped he wasn't late to miss Bluestorm at the border.

Darkpup had sat down outside of the nursery, and watched Slypaw go. I won't be an apprentice for another 3 moons, he thought, bored. He let out a long yawn, revealing sharp canines as well as a pink tongue that lolled out. Then the pup looked at the nursery, waiting for another pup to come out so that he could..."play" with them.

Seeing that Owlscreech seemed busy, Snowstorm turned away. He went over to Silverheart and gave her a soft nudge to see if she was awake, but not hard enough to wake her up if she was asleep. He hadn't spoken to her in a while. The last time he had was when they were naming their pups.

Owlscreech lashed his tail with fustration as suddenly skyfeathers contractions started up again and another pup slid out. he snarled grumpily and snapped at brackenpaw saying "go get me more rasberry leaves and begin chewing!". he lashed his tail with slight anxiety now as he noted how much blood Skyfeather was loosing. he muttered "come on skyfeather only one pup left, i know its the biggest one but you can do it". his voice sounded almost kind.

Skyfeather's body twitched in her unconscious state, her muscles more relaxed as her body was limp. The last, and biggest pup, was still inside her womb and even in her position she could feel that it was a lot for her weak body to handle. She was loosing blood quickly, the thick red liquid staining her white coat, as the birth was prolonged. Her body reacted automatically and pushed, the contractions making her body shake.

Owlscreech gave a hmph of encouragement. he gently pulled out the largest pup and began licking it clean with a vemence. his golden eyes smouldered as he continued licking the pup. having cleaned adn warmed it up he placed it next to skyfeathers belly. owlscreech began champing up the last of the rasberry leaves that he had beside him. he began spitting the poultice onto her bleeding exteriour.

Skyfeather's breathing returned more to normal, the previous shallow breaths evening out so that she looked asleep rather than unconscious. The pups at her belly were wiggling and whimpering as they cuddled closer to her for food and warmth. It was quiet around them as Owlscreech continued to treat her, nothing but the noises the pups were making. Sky's body twitched slightly every now and then, but that was the only sign of life in her noticeable from a distance.
