SunClan Camp

Gentleheart went to go to the clearing when Ripplestar called a clan meeting. She went to go sit by Pinedusk. Then she heard Weed breathing heavily, " you'll be alright." She waited for her leader to start the meeting. Her ginger fur shining, she curled her tail around her paws.

Gentleheart look over to Pinedusk and Fernshade. "hey you two, this is a happy time, dont look so sad."she smiled at both of them and then bumped Pinedusk in the shoulder playfully. " care to go for a run with me after the meeting." she said to him, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

Aurorapaw looked up and smiled faintly, she paused hearing a wolf gasping. She stood and trotted over flicking an ear to the wolfs chest. oh nothing but anxiety she thought. The gray medicine wolf smiled at the wolf, "im Aurorapaw, medicine wolf apprentice"

Ripplestar smiled down at her clan, her sky blue eyes glittering with kindness and emotion, she began "In life there are two constants, Birth and Death, it is what you do between those two that make you who you are. Bramblepaw, Nightpaw, Rainpaw and Lavapaw Stepforward" As they did so she moved a black paw trying to decide who would be best to mentor weed.

"I, Ripplestar, leader of Sunclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in Their own turn turn. Lavapaw, Rainpaw, Nightpaw and Bramblepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

She waited watching in approval as they chorused their i dos. At times like this it felt like the infamous Direstar was sitting there beside her guiding her to say the right things. She had always Admired Direstar for his spirit to create a totally new clan. She inhaled and finished

"Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Rainpaw, Nightpaw Bramblepaw and Lavapaw, from this moment you will be known as Nightshade, Rainheart, Brambleberry and Lavaplume. StarClan honors your Honor and Nobility, and we welcome you as full members of Sunclan" A beam spread accross her face before she continued

"I would like to welcome the loner weed into sunclan, to prove that she is one of us, she will be made an apprentice. From this moment, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice shall be known as Weedpaw. Scarletsoul, you will be mentor to this apprentice. You are a true and trusted warrior, and I hope you will pass this knowledge to your new apprentice"

She stood up straight again, tail flagpole like behind her as she cheered "Lavaplume, Rainheart, Brambleberry, Nightshade Weedpaw!" she concluded the meeting and leapt down off the stump touching her nose to stoatblazes.

Lavaplume thought that he would burst with pride as he was given his warrior name, He howled "Nightshade, Brambleberry, Rainheart Weedpaw!" his brilliant orange pelt moved like fire. His yellow eyes glittered before he glanced over and said to gentleheart "congratulations on another apprentice Gentleheart" he grinned cheekily.

Gentleheart's heart swelled with pride as she watched her apprentice become a warrior, watching Russetwind's brother finally become a warrior. "Rainheart!" "Lavaplume!" "Nightshade!" "Brambleberry!" "Weedpaw!" she said chanting along with her clanmates. then she walked forward and touched her nose to Weedpaw's. "welcome to Sunclan Weedpaw, you are now a member of Sunclan." "having paw at the end of your name means that you are an apprentice, and you are training to become a warrior." then shed moved over to Rainheart "im so proud of you Rainheart!" she said nudging her shoulder. then she padded over to Lavaplume " im proud of you Lavaplume!" she said licking his ear. " and i know that your brother would be too" she said smiling. she always felt protective over Lavaplume.

Lavaplume wagged his tail and gave the deputy a wolf hug, he had always felt like she was his mother. His brilliant flaming pelt catching the early dawn rays. He looked over at Rainheart and felt a large lump in his throat form. He walked over to her and said gruffly "congratulations Rainheart"

Gentleheart smiled as she watched Lavaplume and Rainheart. She wouldn't be surprised if those two became mates, ' they would make a good couple' she thought to herself. Sh then got up and walked over to Ripplestar. " hey Ripplestar mind if we talk?"

The newly named wolf wagged her tail in big wide swings, her yellow eyes glittering with pride. She opened her mouth and let out a laugh of happiness. Her ears perked at the one named Weedpaw, shewalked over and smiled saying "hey nice to meet you! welcome to sunclan!" she grinned, bramble always had a big smile on her face.

Brambleberry let out a short smile and said to Weedpaw "hey Weedpaw is it? come with me ill show you the territory" with a big grin on her face she turned. Beckoning with her tail the newly named warrior made her way out of camp. Strawberry like fur glinting in the sunlight. The earth warm under her paws she soon picked up to a light run heading for the abandoned two leg nest

Brambleberry returned skipping along humming softly to herself, her yellow eyes alight with laughter and happiness. A happiness so contagious that it made others around her feel slightly better. She trotted over to fernshade sitting down beside her and grinning "hey Fernshade! whatcha dooin?" the fresh kill pile was low so she was considering going out to hunt to bring some more prey in. However for now she was happy to sit beside the older warrior and wag her tail contentedly.

Aurorapaw sighed and dragged the other wolf into the apprentice den, she dumped her in a nest and flicked her ears. She made her way back to the medicine den, purple eyes glittering with tiredness. where was her mentor lightdawn? was she forced to become a medicine wolf already? she didn't feel ready at all.
