Fourtrees #10

Fourtrees is a group of four tall oak trees that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Fourtrees is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a large rock in the middle of Fourtrees called the Great Rock.The Clan leaders use it to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings. Also, there is a small opening in the rock with a space big enough for many small pups to fit into.

Swiftstreak body shivered continuously as he couldn't was unconscious. The black warrior laid their at the side of the clearing. Not knowing what was going on.

Aurorapaw appeared the precious herbs in her jaws, she trotted over to swiftstreak watching him with calm caring purple eyes. She nosed his jaws open then placed the catmint within them whispering "Come on strong laddie, you can eat these leaves for me cant you?" her paws came about gently closing theblack males jaws around the herbs. Her gray fur flopping into her eyes. She looked up and said in her naturally calm tone "someone bring me water, he has a severe case of Greencough" the medicine wolf apprentice looked like she was in her element, a kind caring look in her brilliant eyes. She crouched beside him an ear listening to his rasping breathing.

Scarletsoul watched as Aurorapaw rushed over and began to help the WindClan male. Hearing the female ask for someone to get water, Scarletsoul flicked her tail and began to trot over to the Four Oaks. "I'll get it." She barked as she stripped a wad of damp moss off the tree roots ad padded back. She hoped she'd brought enough and placed the ball of wet moss at Aurorapaw's feet. "Here. I can get some more if you need..." She exclaimed but trailed off and took a step back, looking at the limp, black body of the WindClan male. Greencough, eh? Is that contagious?, she thought and looked around at the gathered wolves worriedly.

Swiftstreak, came around as he could hear voices. The black male could taste the unappealing sensation of herbs in he's mouth. He began to chew slowly, as he started breathhing deeply.

Echochime chuckled as Firepup scrambled up her head. She then smiled and said to the Windclan apprentice;
"Well it ws nice meeting you Hurricanepaw"
But then watched in horror s a Windclan wolf passed out. He hand been coughing before but nothing that seemed to be severe. The she-wolf gave a small nod to Huricanepaw, then set her pups off her back.
"Little ones, im so sorry but we'll be going back to camp right about now." She said smiling a fake smile at then. She was concerned that they would catch greencough as the Sunclan medicine wolf apprentice had said.
"Lets go." She said as she scoped up Silverpup and Cloudpup, then carefully guided Hollypup, Brewingpup, and Firepup with her tail.
-Camp-

While she was waiting for the other leaders to speak, Firestar glanced down at the wolves below. Swiftstreak appeared to be coughing out blood and rolling about in pain. The fiery wolf heard Aurorapaw's words and her tail and ears twitched. Greencough? she thought. If it is, then we're all in trouble. The fiery female was glad that there was a medicine wolf to tend to him. Her keen eyes saw Swiftstreak wake up and sighed. I hope he gets better. Firestar saw Echochime lead her pups out of the clearing and thought that that was wise. She herself would stay until the gathering was over.

Brokenglare watched with worry in her eyes as the medicine wolf treated Swiftstreak. She listened closely at what she said about it. Greencough? W-wait, does that mean all the wolves around can be infected as well?, she thought a little scaredly. She didn't know too much about herbs, only what Shadewhisper had told her as a pup and a little more, but she understood this wasn't good at all.

Snowstorm continued searching frantically, but still was not having any luck. Eventually, he heard coughing and looked over to the edge of the clearing to see a wolf who had collapsed. He also heard the medicine wolf whom had come to help say that it was Greencough. To his horror, he saw his own pup, Tornadopup, by the wolf that was sick. "No, he can't get sick," he whispered to himself, racing over there. The large white deputy watched the medicine wolf tend to the black wolf for a few seconds, but then said in a stern voice, "Tornadopup, we're going back to camp." He picked his pup up by the scruff and quickly carried him away in the direction of the StormClan camp.

Tornadopup jumped in surprise when he heard a familiar voice. He turned to see Snowstorm, his father. "Uhh...hi, daddy..." he stammered. He backed up a bit, but his father picked him up by the scruff and he let out a small squeal. He didn't even struggle as he was carried away. He let out a small sigh. His fun was ruined for the night.

~StormClan camp~

Swiftstreak opened he's pale blue eyes as they narrowed. "What is going on." The male rasped trying to move he's body. As he struggled to sit up. The black males body still shivered furiously as he attempted to swallow the herbs.

Scalretsoul took a wary step back as the Windclan male sat up. Greencough was a major killer and Scarlet noticed that more wolves were leaving at the news. I hope it's not going to be serious, she thought and ground her teeth together. Sunclan had experienced a sudden bout of death recently. She didn't want it to happen again. Too many wolves were being taken to Starclan.

Aurorapaw flicked her ears and said "you have green cough, go find spottedheart and take to her medicine den, or you can return to sunclan camp and we will treat you" her lilac eyes warned others to keep back. She swished her tail warning "keep back everyone"

Swiftstreak looked at the female. As he stood up, clenching he's jaw at the pain in he's chest. He kept quiet not to say anything or show any emotion on he's face. The troubled black warrior just wanted to rest alone. As he slowly walked passed the apprentice "Take me...... To sunclan." The male rasped out, in a rough crushed voice.

Grizzlypup swallowed the lump in his throat and blinked. "Well,heck with Greencough. I'm helping him down to Sunclan territory." He turned to the medicine apprentice. "Whether you'll let me or not."

Moonshadow heard the words Greencough. She snorted. "I'd leave,but this is my first gathering." She narrowed her eyes. "I'm not letting that chance go to waste."

Barkstripe turned to Swiftstreak. "Hey,you'll be fine. I promise. Just hang in there for now."

Redpup snorted. "No stupid disease is going to stop me." His tail twitched in annoyance. But I might just about eat those words. He but his lip.

Fernshade flicked her tail. She narrowed her eyes. "I don't know about this..." She trailed off. Then clamped her eyelids shut. "But then again,he is sick." She sighed. "Alright,I'm gonna need some help to bring the brute back."

The black wolf gritted he's teeth, "I can make it there... But from the fourtrees.... I don't know the way." The male said pausing every few moments to breath in deeply. "Besides, spottedheart isn't around." The male said looking at barkstripe, to see if he knew where the medicine wolf of windclan was.

Aurorapaw nodded then glared at the windclan pup "you get back to your camp right now and i might forget your insolence, Fernshade help me with him we will need to support him on either side" she flicked her tail and nosed the last of her mouthful of catmint toward him before she stood beside him ready for him to be able to lean on her as she guided him to sunclan,.

Scarletsoul watched as they began to take the sick wolf back to Sunclan territory and pinned her ears back defensively and anxiously. "Why back to Sunclan camp? The distance is the same to Windclan..." She pointed out but trailed off. She wasn't afraid to speak up for herself but that wasn't the real reason she didn't want the WindClan male in Sunclan territory. The illness could spread through the territory and make the Sunclan wolves sick too. "Besides, there's already a group of ThunderClan and StormClan wolves at our camp." Scarlet barked, a hint of a snarl in her voice as she lashed her tail. If we get sick I'm blaming it on him, she thought bitterly and narrowed her eyes grudgingly.

Aurorapaw shot scarletsoul a look "then go and clear them out! Spottedheart is not here!" she let out an indignant huff then gently nosed Swiftstreak "come on ill take you to windclan camp since the sunclan wolves are not willing to offer shelter to a sick wolf" she gently helped him up then let him lean on her as she walked with him to the windclan camp

Brokenglare backed away step-by-step with a plain look on her face. I don't want to catch greencough..., she thought. Should I maybe go to camp instead? The female walked calmly past the other wolves and headed for the camp.


~Windclan camp~

Hollypup watched as her mother put Cloudpup and Firepup off her back. A frown formed on her muzzle as her mother explained they were leaving. She hadn't wanted to leave though, but of course she didnt know what was going on or what greencough was. She tried to fight back her mother's tail but it swept her forward anyway. The pup sighed and stomped forward in the direction her mother was leading them.
-Tc Camp-

Scarletsoul bit back a sharp retort towards Aurorapaw. "I didn't mean that. Why'd you have to make it sound so bad?" she huffed and glared at the medicine wolf apprentice. It's not worth arguing over, Scarlet thought calming herself down. Turning around, she decided to go back to Sunclan Camp to see if Bramblepaw was okay. Scarlet looked around for Ottersky wanting to say bye but let out a sad sigh not being able to see him. Flicking her tail, she raced back to Sunclan camp to see what was happening.

- Sunclan Camp -

Ripplestar nodded and said a little icily "Sunclan has thrived, i would like to announce that Scarletsoul, Bramblepaw, Nightpaw, Mosspaw have all leveled up in rank" Her black paws were stood firm on the cold rock. Her sky blue eyes turned to Snowflower, waiting for the white warrior to talk about her clan.

Ottersky looked after scarletsoul as she left and let out an annoyed huff, he flicked his ears then stood looking rather bored. This gathering had lasted far too long in his own opinion. He lashed his tail before turning his multicolored pelt toward the entrance of the fourtrees. he sat down and leant against a tree, his eyes bored.

Cougarpup lashed her tail with a short huff as the other wolves ignored her, she made her way over to redpup and his family sitting down she flicked her ears back and said quietly "succed as much as you want to breathe" her voice was inspiring and confident. She lifted her golden eyes watched the leaders with a slight desire in her eyes.

Redpup narrowed his eyes at the other Stormclanner. "And you are?" His brown tail waved in the air in boredom. He glanced back up at the leaders. He blinked his red eyes.

Fernshade nodded back to Aurorapaw,then stood up beside Swiftstreak. She took hold of the scruff on the back of his neck,and then lifted him up. She made him lean on her. Fern turned to the other Windclanners. "Go tell Heatherstar that he's sick." She sniffed and glanced at the black male. Then started to the camp.
-Windclan camp-

Barkstripe cuffed Grizzlypup on his head. "We're going. Come on,Heatherstar should know when her mate's gone to another territory." His tail twitched.

Grizzlypup growled. "I'm going. And your not going to stop me." He snorted and lashed out his tail. Once he was cuffed by Barkstripe. He turned and snapped at the warrior's jaw. "But I need to help." He snorted and sat down. He crossed his legs and began to pout.
