Fourtrees #2

Fourtrees is a group of four tall oak trees that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Fourtrees is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a large rock in the middle of Fourtrees called the Great Rock.The Clan leaders use it to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings

For this gathering, we will also be visiting an abandoned carnival. The topic will be opened once it is mentioned by Shadestar and everyone travels there.

Lightningpaw noted the suspicious look in Shadestar's eyes, followed by his simple reply. /A flag? How did it get up there?/ she wonderede to herself, turning to look at it. When Apachepaw mentioned 'those creatures' she looked into the woods then back up at the flag. "Twolegs are probably the only creatures capable of putting that way up there. The real question is why and what does this mean for the clans." She said, not really realizing she had said the second thing out loud. If this flag really was plaed there by the twolegs, it could mean nothing to the clans. However it could mean something else for them. Something that might mean disaster for Shadowclan and the others. /But whatever it is it better not dare hurt Apachepaw o else I'll.../ Lightning did not finish her thought, catching what it was she was thinking. She snorted and turned back to Apachepaw. "Well, that answers my question." She said to him, flicking him with her tail gently.

Apache nodded in agreement to Linghtning's words, it certainly did sound like something a the twolegs would do but what they would gain by such actions baffled him as much as the creatures believed to have placed it there. Ears twitching he gazed at the flag. "Perhaps its a way for them the communicate." He mused, more to himself then anyone. He smiled when his fellow apprentice flicked him, amused by her gesture.

Lightning nodded. "Maybe but I never thought Twolegs were ones to try and communicate." She said, noting the apprentice's smile and then looking back up at the flag. Her ears twitched slightly and her nose wiggled as she tried to see if she could detect any scent on it from where she stood. But she did not catch anything and soon abandoned that idea.

Rain looked around, a little bored for she was very talkative. She looked up and saw a strange object. she shrugged and waited for it to start.

Magmapup looked at the flag and was slightly confused. Who had put it there? And for what purpose?

Silverpup caught the waving off the thin fabric. She had never seen this before tilting her head she looked at Magmapup her eyes wide and curious. Had he known anything about this 'flag' or was he too clueless.

Russetpup ran into Fourtrees, seeing a large amount of wolves gathered there. He stopped in his tracks, a little disorientated by the different scents. The pup looked up at the adults, wondering who they were and what clan they belonged to. He hadn't seen so many wolves before. He started to walk again, a little shy, so he didn't attempt to make conversation.
The male noticed a lot of wolves were gathered around something. It was being pulled by the wind, and it was attached to a long stick,which was stuck in the ground......
Russetpup looked around, slightly confused.

StarkSoul looked down at all the wolves in the clearing, there were tons.

he slowly made his way down into the clearing, but stood at the edge, his light blue eyes scanning around. He was taller than most of the wolves here, which gave him a good view range

"I doubt we have to worry about it." Shadestar mused, looking up at it with golden eyes. "It doesn't seem well taken care of. It probably is Twolegs, but look at the state of it. It doesn't seem like anyone has been there for a while. Wherever it is. But perhaps we should go check it out anyway." If there was a chance that it could harm the Clans, it would have to be taken down somehow. It looked innocent way up there, flapping in the wind, but you never knew with Twolegs.

Rainpup looked around and finally saw someone she actually knew, Russetpup. she walked over to him her small tail wagging.

Russetpup looked at the strange object with interest, before hearing a noise. He turned, and wagged his tail when he saw Rainpup. "Hi Rainpup," he said, bounding up to the female. "Do you know if the gathering's started yet?"

The leader of Riverclan slowly made her way into the fourtress. Vividly remembering her time here last full moon, Lilystar was to make sure that it would never happen again. Never in her life had that happen to her for each gathering she went too. Looking around, she saw more wolves here than last time, meaning that some pups were now allowed to actually come to these gatherings. As she approached the rock, Lilystar hopped up with an easy jump, and placed herself on the rock; representing all of Riverclan.

Apachepaw nodded accepting his leaders words, he being the curious type agreed with the plan to go investigate. His ears twitched at Lightning's words but he remained silent studying the flag trying to pinpoint where it was located.

Featherpup bounded after Rainpup and Russetpup. "Hi," she panted when she finally caught up. "Do you guys know anything about that thing up there?" she asked, pointing her long, fluffy tail to the strip of worn fabric flapping in the wind.

Russetpup see Featherpup, and he wagged his tail. "Hi Featherpup," the male barked happily. He looked up at the weird object. "I don't know anything, never seen it before," he replied. "Do you think it could be....." he hesitated. "Twolegs?"

Rainpup smiled as she finally had someone to talk to. the dark female moved closer and sat looking at the object. She shook her head "I have no idea."

Russetpup looked at both females. "It could be left here by twolegs....I wouldn't get too close Rain...." He looked the object up and down. The pup didn't understand what it was, and was slightly nervous by it's presence. What happens if it hurts someone?

Rainpup looked back, "Ah no worries it can't hurt us, I think." She went back and sat down next to the two.

Russetpup frowned at the object. He still didn't trust it. "I don't know...." the pup replied. "It's just weird, how it moves like that. It doesn't seem natural."

Raipup smiled wider, "You're too cautious. loosen up a bit not too much though." She wagged her tail and sighed.

Russetpup shrugged. "I guess so," he replied, trying to send his worries about the object to the back of his mind. "Has the gathering already started? I came....late." The pup gave a sheepish grin, as he had slept in and was one of the last to arrive.

Rainpup shook her head,"No it hasn't. I wonder why." The black female looked around, she saw other wolves but was a bit afraid to talk to them so she turned back to Russetpup and Featherpup.

Russetpup looked at the adults. He too was much too shy to talk to them. "Yeah, me too," he agreed. "Do you want to play a game to pass the time?" he offered. "It's boring staying here."

Rainpup pretended to think about it. "Ok!" she jumped forward excited. "What do you want to play?"
