Fourtrees #4

Fourtrees is a group of four tall oak trees that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Fourtrees is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a large rock in the middle of Fourtrees called the Great Rock.The Clan leaders use it to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings

Noticing somr apprentices she shrgged
She didnt feel like doing anything
She then sighed staring up at the already formed clouds

Rainstar sighed. The night was cold, and she shivered a bit. Up there on the rock the wind kept blowing and she didn't have much shelter. At least her clan down there were almost warm as they were surrounded by other wolves. She shook with cold and happiness. Her blue eyes sparkling in the faint light.

Phoenixfire flicked his ears, most wolves shunned him. he shook out his coat and fluffed himself up. his eyes glanced up at rainstar and he blinked. he knew that she was probbaly very cold up there, his eyes softened slightly. he watched her with a loving protectiveness he hadnt told her that he had loved her for a very long time but he still did.

Notcing phoenixfire she darted over to his side and said "you know i can tell." Hakpool could tell that phoenixfire surely loved rain. She then said "don't worry i doubt you'll be rejected by her,i bet she likes you to phoenix" she then winked (id wolves can do that) and padded away under Great Rock.

"And what's wrong with that Direpaw? If heatherpaw says its OK with her then its her choice."she gave the apprentice a pat on the head, "though, don't get too attached to each other, OK you two? Because you might meet in battle one day. Got that?"

Notcing a white wolf in the clearing talking to some younger wolves she came over and said "Hey I'm Hawkpool,warrior of Thundercan." She then smiled and continued "and who might you all be?" She felt good around them. She felt at home

he blinked in slight astonishment, was his affection for said leader so obvious? he shook himself and flicked his tail watching her over with the apprentices. she was obviously still a little upset from featherpaws desicion. he shrugged it was featherpaws choice and hawkpool was going to have to live with it. he yawned again and flicked his gaze back up to rainstar, she looked so beautiful in this light.

"Hello hawkpool, I am SnowFlower, a warrior of windclan."she smiled at the thunder clan wolves.

As Swiftpaw looked directly into her eyes, she could help but look back. He was like a shiny object to a magpie, and he certainly knew how to hit her soft spot. Her mouth parted as she went to speak, but at the unmistakable growl of Direpaw, she tore her orbs away from him and jumped back, slightly startled. Her ears pined back to her head with worry as Direpaw and Snowflower both approached, and she cast a panicky glance at Swiftpaw.

Shifting her paws as yet another cold breeze swept through the clearing. All the wolves around her couldn't even warm her in the weather. A crimson leaf blew across the top of her nose causing her to sneeze slightly. Her fur fluffed out due to the tingling tempature drop. Her eyes were soft and calm twinkling each time the fading moon hit them with its light. Silverheart hoped that they would hurry with the gathering before everyone fell asleep. Her breathing was short and slow her sides rising and falling letting out a cloud of fog each time she breathed.

Swiftpaw saw the male which heatherpaw knew and hes words did not faze him, he yawned and looked at the apprentice he was quite to big to still be an apprentice. Acting as if he had any authority, he gave the male a mocking look, As he watch him ask heatherpaw who i was, "I'm Swiftpaw actually." Swiftpaw said firmly "Theres no rule saying i can or cant talk to a female from another clan besides its not like she told me to go away."Swiftpaw closed hes eyes as he yawned then looked over to a wolf that was speaking to the rude male. Turned back to heatherpaw she had a worried look on her face.

"Now, I don't want to hear any arguing." she said with a strict voice.

Skydust shook out his coat, Shadowclan was beginning to arrive, but their Leader had yet to make an appearance. Skydust shrugged and greeted wolves as they passed him by, stopping to talk with those that wanted to chat. His eyes roamed the wolves, pausing on Echosong, it was good to see another Medicine wolf, they would have to talk later, the Medicine wolves had not spoken in some time. Skydust eye's shifted back to the opening of Fourtress still no sign of the Shadowclan leader, would this meeting ever start. He would like to get Shadepup properly into the role of his apprentice, and he could not do that here.

Heatherpaw watched as the two males exchanged sharp words. She couldn't blame Direpaw, really. Though she couldn't help thinking with a bitter edge why he was being so touchy. The apprentice's tail tip quivered with a slight gesture of irritation and possibly even fury. Why did they have to come over and stick their nose in where it was not wanted? She was perfectly aware of the consequences of being friendly, or even 'too' friendly, with wolves in another clan, so why didn't they trust her? Surely it is better to have friends in other clans than enemies? She gazed warmly at Swiftpaw for a few moments before turning to Direpaw with an indignant but also apologetic glint in her eyes.

Swiftpaw turned back to heatherpaw dismissing the other wolf. "So who's the leader of the windclan." As he looked up at the three leaders at the top of the high rock.

Heatherpaw's eyes flitted back to Swiftpaw as he made his query. "Russetstar, the brown wolf next to Rainstar." She gestured smoothly with a small nod at her leader in a hope to give Swiftpaw a clearer idea of who he was. "Rainstar is leader of ThunderClan, i believe?" As she sat, she shuffled her paws slightly uncomfortably, flanked on one side by the fuming Direpaw, and sat in front of the 'flirtatious' Swiftpaw. A small smile of amusement at the realisation appeared on her muzzle and mischief sparkled in her eyes.

Nightpaw watched the quarrel take place from a little distance and smiled to herself. She was finding it quite amusing to watch and relished on the fact that she not do anything about it. In one smooth motion, she wrapped her tail around her paws and shuffled on the spot a little. The breeze was beginning to slowly chill her and she hunched her shoulders up a little to help trap some of her body heat in.

Blackhawk yawned as Ravenpaw moved away from him. Ever since he had seen her on the border he couldn't help but feel responsibe for the pup. He sighed he shouldn't fell like that for she was a Shadowclan wolf. With a small grunt he lied his head down on his paws, gnoring the back freezing air that blew steadily across the clearing.

"Oh okay I see him." Swiftpaw replied to heatherpaw, he looked around seeing other wolves and other windclan members, he felt a bit uncomfortable, "So how is training going for you Heatherpaw." Swiftpaw said looking at the female with a glow in he's eyes.

Heatherpaw looked at Direpaw for a moment as she awaited Swiftpaw's reply, wondering what was going through his mind. I....i mean we....didn't mean any harm! She thought sorrowfully. Or to cause any unneeded aggravation... She turned her head curiously back to the ThunderClan apprentice. Or at least I didn't mean to. She gave a sharp blink to try and clear her mind, feeling slightly surprised by her thoughts. He wouldn't do that....would he? The female's mind spun with a countless amount of questions, just begging to be answered, but she knew better than to just blurt them out. So, she kept her mouth tightly shut. Refusing to allow her thoughts trail back to any of those previous questions and shoving them to the back of her mind almost stubbornly. When Swiftpaw answered, she nodded thoughtfully and spoke with a slight chuckle. "Alright thanks." As she prepared to speak the next sentence, she straightened her back with pride. "Russetstar is my mentor." She wondered if she should mention the fact that she trained with Moonpaw. Would that bring up any awkward questions? Or even make WindClan weak if he got the impression that there weren't enough warriors? In the end, she decided against saying anything, and that she would only say if she was asked directly, or it was an important piece of information for some apparent reason. "How about you? Who is your mentor?" Curiosity and something unknown made her face beam as she once again awaited a reply.

Swiftpaw looked at heatherpaw "My mentor is Blackhawk, hes an awesome warrior." Swiftpaw said with some excitement as he got up and stretched out. "So are you training to be a amazing warrior some day?" Swiftpaw asked with a interested voice.

Heatherpaw grinned, "He is indeed an, awesome, warrior." She she gave him a playful look and poked him gently. "And yes, i am training to become an awesome warrior one day!" She voiced excitedly before questioning him with the same enthusiasm, "What do you think your warrior name will be?"

Swiftpaw chuckled a bit, " hmm lets see, maybe Swiftclaw or Swiftstorm or even Swiftfang." Swiftpaw said thinking if the endless possible amount of names he could think of, "what about you? what do you want as your warrior name? Swiftpaw looked at the pretty females glittering blue eyes.

Heatherpaw lifted an eyebrow as she listened to his suggestions. "They all sound like interesting names." She smiled sweetly, "And i'm sure which ever one you are given, it will suit you perfectly." She gave a small chuckle, "I was thinking something like, Heatherstorm, or something exciting and 'snazzy' like that. Though, to be honest, i haven't put much thought into it." She looked back at the handsome male, wondering what his thoughts were on her suggestion.
