Sunclan & Windclan

the border between Windclan and Sunclan, the space between the territories is rather large, however borders are still present

Raggedfur didn't know what had started Fernshade's tangent or how she managed to make her words so accurate, but they were getting to the Windclan male. Her accusations dug deep into his skin, sharp as thorns that pierced flesh. He felt an involuntary shudder ripple across his body and forced himself not to show the weariness that was nagging at his insides. Raggedfur's initial anger was slowly ebbing in the face of his inward panic, and his fur lay flat as he hurried to take another step away from the female. Still, he conjured up the harshest words and fiercest tone he possible could. "You're wrong," He snarled, real conviction shining through his voice. "Windclan may be full of a bunch of scrawny runts, but I ain't no coward. I got my brother to look out for."

Fernshade chuckled. "But then,you would still put yourself,and your brother in front of your clan." Fern snorted. "I always dislike the insecure ones. The angry ones just have something to let out because of some flaw they have." Fernshade flicked her ears. Waiting for his response.

Nightpup saw a big wolf. His face lit up. "Finally two wolves I can play with which aren't my siblings."he said. The male ran over the border and twist and turned between Ragged's feet. "What can we play first?"he asked with an innocent face.

Fernshade pinned the ears to her head as she watched one of Ebonyfur's pups pad by. She sighed and glanced up at the brute. She sighed,then turned to Raggedfur. "Nightpup,be careful.thats a border.and other wolves live on that side." She watched Raggedfur closely.hoping he wouldn't hurt the pup.

Raggedfur snorted and shook his head. If there was anything that made him angry, it was talking about his brother. Raggedfur had always put Stormtussle before his clan - that much was common knowledge. Even if he loved Windclan and all it stood for, Raggedfur's mantra was that blood ran thicker than water. He would never sacrafice his own kin for the welfare of other wolves, even if they were his clanmate. To see this ignorant Sunclan female sitting here, spewing her falsely-wise words as if she knew what she was talking about, irritated Raggedfur all the more. "You ain't nothin' but a big-headed imbecile," Raggedfur concured. "An' if you say one bad thing about my brother I'll rip that smirk of your ugly face."

Raggedfur was turning to whirl on his heel and stride back into Windclan land when something suddenly tumbled between his legs. He tensed and looked down, expecting it to be Fernshade trying to attack him, but surprise flared up inside the male as he realized it was a Sunclan pup. Raggedfur's initial reaction was to give the small wolf a good kick that would send it bouncing back over the border and out of his personal space, but he held back the blow. Though his muscles were still tense, his gaze softened slightly as he looked at the young pup. He never would have admitted it, but Raggedfur had always had a special spot in his heart for pups - that was, until they reached the bratty, know-it-all stage of their youth. "Get off me, kid," Raggedfur grunted, tenderly disentangling himself from the pup.

Nightpup whimpered. 'What did I do?"he asked with flattened ears. His innocent, adorable face looked up at the brute. "Did I do something wrong?"he asked.

Fernshade ignored his rude remark. She flicke Cher ears,ignoring it. She sighed with relief when Raggedfur didn't hurt the pup. She picked Nightpup up,and set him on the Sunclan side. She licked Nightpup's ear. "What are you doing here,Nightpup? You mom ight be worried." She then dipped her head at Raggedfur. Satisfied the wolf could hold back so much.
She then shook her head at Nightpup. "Don't worry,you fine."

"B-Bu-But I wanna explore."he whined in a cute manner. The male stared up at Fernshade. "She knows I'm a strong wolf, right?"he said in a tilted head manner. "She'll know I'm fine."he said with a frown. "Can I explore?"he asked with big watery puppy eyes staring at both wolves.

Raggedfur watched as Fernshade stepped briefly over the border to retrieve the pup. He stared at it for a moment, paws itching in sudden awkwardness as he longed to turn on his heel and bolt back to the familiar Windclan territory. The stricken gaze of the pup bore into Raggedfur, and his words lingered in the male's head longer after Nightpup had finished speaking. The guilt and hurt in the pup's voice reverberated straight through Raggedfur's core. He felt obligated to answer the pup, even after Fernshade started speaking. "You ain't done nothin' wrong, kid," He told the pup gruffly, eyes not fixing on any one point. "Your kind and my kind just don't mix, is all."

Fernshade sighed. Not knowing what to say to the pup. She blinked. I don't want himself back. Like I was. Fernshade licked his forehead. "You can,but if you want to be an apprentice,you'll need to show Ripplestar your good right?" Fernshade flicked her tail and stared down at the pup.

Nightpup looked at Raggedfur. "Why? Wasn't mom and dad from WindClan?"he asked with a tilted head. "My mom is Ebonyfur and she said our father is Direstar."he said. "fernshade is my big sister."he said in glee.

Fernshade smiled at her name. "Well your step-sister." She then glanced up at Raggedfur. She swallowed. Then blinked. She then shuffled her paws. "Sorry about that outburst from earlier..."

"Mm." Raggedfur listened as the two wolves conversed, noting that they were related. He supposed he should have expected as much - Fernshade looked down at the little pup with a sort of protective aura exuding from her. He himself felt some of his anger melt away in the face of the innocent creature, and he didn't even snap back at Fernshade as she offered an apology, as he would have if there wasn't a pup in their midst. He stood somewhat stiffly on his side of the border, casting and furtive glance over his shoulder and wondering if he should just plod back to camp. Didn't wanna screw up the precious family reunion, did he? Raggedfur snorted.

Fernshade dipped her head at the wolf. She then turned to Nightpup. "Ready to get back to camp?" She blinked and flicked her tail.

Nightpup smiled. "But can I play with the other wolf?"he asked. "Pwease!"he asked with puppy eyes. "Big sis?"he smiled.

Fernshade felt awkward. She pinned the ears to her head and sighed. She turned to Raggedfur. "Sorry." She flicked her tail.

Raggedfur raised his eyes as the pup pleaded to stay and play with him at the border. When Fernshade seemed to give into his pleas, Raggedfur took a step back, the fur along his spine bristling as he looked down at the Sunclan pup. "Oh heck no," He elaborated, a hard edge creeping into his tone. Raggedfur may have a soft spot for pups, but like heck he was going to be caught prancing around with a kid - a Sunclan kid, no less.

Fernshade sighed and nodded. "Well,Raggedfur here is a little tired from his trip ok Nightpup?" She felt the sun slowly disappear behind the horizon. She flicked her tail.

Nightpup ran over to Raggedfur. "Can you teach me how to fight?"he asked in a perky tone. The male smiled a thank you to Fernshade. "Please?"e said using his innocent face. It was his strong point to adults.

Fernshade sighed. Well,there's no getting around this pup. She flicked her tail and didn't know what to do. She sat down.

Raggedfur let out an irritated huff as Nightpup once again crossed the border, begging for Raggedfur to teach him. He took a step back, growing increasingly uncomfortable with the two SunClan wolves. "It don't work like that, kid," He told the pup, his voice growing colder in spite of the young wolf. "Ask your sister. I ain't teachin' ya nothin'."

Fernshade then picked up the pup by the scruff,then set him down. She glanced at Raggedfur. "Well." She then turned to the pup. "We should be getting back." Fern at glanced at Raggedfur. The dipped her head. "Have a nice day." Fernshade then flicked her tail. She scooped up Night,then trotted away. Her tail trailing in the breeze.
-Sunclan camp-

Raggedfur was relieved when Fernshade finally told the pup that they were going to get back. It was high time. Raggedfur didn't know what to make of their odd encounter or his conversation with the Sunclan members. His only response to Fernshade's farewell was a noncommittal grunt before he turned on his heel and plodded back to Windclan. God, why was every wolf so insane?

Cricket gleefully dashed through the borders. She skidded to a halt when she almost tripped over a stone. Confused as shelooked to the moors to the now rocky area, Cricket was a bit dumbfounded. Looking around for her mate, the smokey gray fae called out;
Fang! You caught up yet?

Fang troted along after Cricket at a more leisurely pace, his crooked tooth sticking out at a peculiar angle and giving him the appearance of a roughed up rouge. In truth, that summed him up quite well. Giving out a sigh as Cricket's voice was blown towards him, he stretched out his jaws to issue a short reply. "Coming!" He barked roughly, picking up the pace and bounding more swiftly along the border towards his mate.
