Greetings all wolves, pups may not intrude on this training unless they want a severe talking to. anyone else is free to join in and spice up our rp. this rp will probbaly roam all over sunclans new territory from the stunted forest to the swift river. the statistic idea belongs to magmafeather i do not own it. now Shadowpaw here are your stats are you ready to take the plunge?

Direstar padded up to the sandy slope and sat down, shifting his paws a little grumpily the red eyed leader stared at the sand on the ground. it would be good to train shadowpaw on these slopes, most wolves wouldnt be used to it and should be awkward on the territory. that would give sunclan the edge the leader decided. his thoughts turned to the river.. hmm they would need the exriver clan wolves to show them how to fish, perhaps stoatpaw. shaking his head the leader came back to the present and perked his ears listening for the sound of any apprentice pawsteps.

Direstar nodded, his blood red eyes glittering with slight amusement, flicking his tail he said "well there might not be anymore prey here, feel free to look around, remember look listen and scent" he stood and yawned before leaping up onto a low branch of a dead tree that was all twisted like it was screaming in pain.

Shadowpaw nodded, his jaws parting in what looked like a yawn, but in truth, he was scenting around. Breathing in as the scents of the forest floor hit the roof of his mouth. His ears perked up listening and his nose sniffing around. A mouse was all he could hear, scent or taste. So he crouched down low to stalk it. His tail wrapped under him as he raced down low across the forest floor. He leapt at it, landing on it and killing it with a bite to the neck. He carried it to Direstar and gave it to his mentor, his leader. "Can we fight now?" He asked.

Direstar shrugged and rolled his muscluar shoudlers "well, you should really have stalked it than raced for it, a mouse is faster than you shadow" direstars red eyes glittered a little before he leapt at shadow and swung a paw at him "defend this with one of your paws or with your teeth shadowpaw!" his blood coloured fur moved as he moved his paw down.

Direstar said quietly "the more it hurts the more you learn Shadowpaw" his eyes smiled gently "next time you could duck under me and do the belly rake or push yourself up on your hind legs and while doing so grab my paw" he flicked his tail and said "every hurt is a lesson"

Direstar leapt up and at his apprentice at the last moment he rolled onto his side in mid air and let his claws rake through the apprentices thick winter fur. landing securely on his paws he delivered a blow to the middle of shadowpaws spine. panting he flicked his ears and said "did you see what i did there my apprentice of the sharp eyes?"

As the apprentice went for his back direstar leapt up and twisted in mid ear turning to face his apprentice, without hesitation he leapt foward and slammed his head into his apprentices chest sending the younger wolf bowling head over heels. As the apprentice landed on his belly direstar leapt forward and pressed down on his shoulders so he couldnt move or escape
"how about that time?"

Direstar chuckled and flicked his ears "you are a very spirited young wolf Shadowpaw" his eyes glittered with amusement. turning he glanced around at the stunted trees of the forest, padding over to a larger one he raked his claws through its bark with a slightly interested look on his muzzle.

Shadowpaw smiled from ear to ear. "Thank you Direstar." He said sitting down, and he started to groom himself. The spar was fun he could not deny. But something felt odd, off, out of place.

Leaping up into the tree the leader flicked his ears and watched something, his ears flattened and he leapt out of the tree snarling "come on" he streaked off towards the camp his heart thrumming in his chest, they were in danger they had to protect their only pup dragonpup. his blood red eyes glittered. stopping just outside of the camp he scented around and growled scenting a large mountain lion. his eyes glittered with hatered as he realised that it was the same one that had attacked windclan on the moor.

Shadowpaw raced after Direstar when he heard his call. Excitement shown in his eyes. This was what it was all about. He saw the mountain lion. "Alright, what;s the plan Direstar?"

"the predator is already weakened if you look at the wounds on it, but we have to protect the camp, either drive it off or we work together to kill it" he flicked his tail and said "your speed will come in handy leap in attack then get out of the way, mountain lion smashes to the head can crush apprentice skulls" with out another word the medium sized longlegged wolf leapt up and at the mountain lion.

Shadowpaw leapt at the mountain lion. The blood pounded in his head as he slashed at his face. He quickly moved out of the way. He waited to get another strike in.

Direstar landed with his teeth in the lions muzzle, his sharp white fangs digging in to the flesh of the large animal. savagely growling he used his front legs to swipe down at the cougars chest rivers of blood beginnin to stream down the cougars chest.

Shadowpaw went and leapt onto the lions back. He bit the neck and hung on to it. He[the lion] was getting weaker and he figured the bite would kill it. His eyes with fury as he knew of the pup in camp. He needed to protect the clan.

Letting his claws sink deeper into the cougars chest he suddenly released the massive cat and skidded away, turning he ran at the cat and expertly slid under it tearing his claws and teeth through the cougars exposed belly. the cougar screamed and swatted at direstar, causing him to stumble as he was getting back up onto hisi feet.

Shadowpaw was flung off slightly. The animal was weaker and couldn't use mass force. So Shadowpaw got back up and went for the killing bite. He knew he could do it.

Direstar stumbled up the cougars attention on him, he rolled out of the way as it lunged for him, leaping up he raked his claws down its side with a viciousness that would suprise anyone. the blood stained leader continued keeping the cougar entertained.

Shadowpaw went and bit the cougars neck, gripping hard trying to locate it's windpipe. He wanted to prove that he could do anything he set his mind to. Right now he was trying to protect his clan, his family. He bit down harder.

Direstar turned and leapt landing on the cougars back, as shadowpaw dug his teeth into the cougars neck. Direstar sunk his teeth into the back of the cougars neck. strangling it from either side the cougar dropped like a stone.

Shadowpaw panted as the cougar fell, he released the neck and smiled. "WE did it Direstar!" He said proudly, his eyes shown a feeling he had never had. A sense of worth. A sense of loyalty.

Direstar landed on his feet and nodded rather proudly "well done shadowpaw! you will make a fantastic warrior someday" his eyes glittered cooly before he padded over and gave the apprentice a couple of quick licks to get the sticky blood off him. twitching his tail he said "try hunting some medium sized animals like deer, and then we can continue with fighting"
