Berkshire Shopping District

Subject: Berkshire Shopping District Mon Dec 24, 2012 1:39 pm

First topic message reminder :

Where most of the stores in Hartford are located. These include small, family-owned stores as well as huge chain restaurants and supermarkets. Locals don't really like seeing stray dogs walking around here, and they'll be chased off on sight! Stores are located on the left and right with large parking lots and a large central street that branches off in several places.

Tourmaline wasn't aware of what happened around her. The next thing she knew, there was a dalmation, only one of the two dogs who were similar was here, and the Border Collie she found annoying was back. She walked over to the edge, sitting down away from the others but still close enough to hear if they mentioned anything she'd want to know about. The dog yawned, and wasn't sure what she'd do after.

Sophie turned to a voice. She blinked at the retriever. "Who are you? And why do you smell of the forest?" She then smelled the dog again. She sighed and growled under her breath.

Rocky looked at a dog as he heard her speak. He wagged his tail, happy to be speaking to another dog. "I'm Rocky, and I joined ThunderClan. Why did you growl, and do you know what a Twoleg is?" He asked, looking at the border collie.

Sopihe snorted. "Never mind about that. And what is a Twolegged?" She blinked. Not knowing the clan's name for Longpaws.

Rocky looked at the dog, though decided not to ask again about why she didn't seem that happy when the forest was said of. "I'm really not sure, I think it's what the Clans call housefolk?" He said. For all he knew, though, a Twoleg could be something such as a bluebird.

Sopihe nodded. "Oh yeah,I've heard of that. We call them Longpaws. They live in houses." She flicked her tail and sat down.

Rocky looked at Sophie as she replied. "Yes, that must be what a Twoleg is." He responded. "Do you live with Longpaws?" The golden added.

Sophie snorted. "Yeah right. Longpaws are useless. They kill the forest too. Why do you care about them?" She narrowed her eyes.

Rocky glanced at the border collie as she responded. "I'm on a mission, to find them and bring them to my Clan. I have no idea why, but I won't let the ThunderClan leader down." He said to her.

Flip pulled back at the dalmatian's words, a tad shocked at his directness. "I'm not lying to you..! I just don't think you can help me, so I don't want to burden you with my troubles," she said, attempting to explain. It was a poor excuse, but she could think of no other. "And you shouldn't call anyone a bozo. That's just mean and unnecessary."

Rocky glanced over at a dog as he heard her say something; though he wasn't able to hear what the other dog was saying that much. He decided it didn't have to do with him, so he looked back to the border collie. He wasn't sure of her name, though she seemed to be at least a bit nice to him. Perhaps she would be able to help him with finding the specific Twolegs he was looking for the Clan.

Sophie snorted. "I'm not one to follow much." She blinked and flicked her tail. "Of you want them,be careful. Some of them has the intention of killing you." She dipped her head at him,and winked. "See ya later. And good luck with what your doing." She then turned and slowly padded away. Lolling her head side to side.

Rocky looked over at the other border collie as she spoke. He nodded to her. "Sure, see you, er, later sometime!" He said, watching as she walked away. The golden retriever shook his head, remembering about his mission, and he set off to find a Twoleg.

Walking by the shops, his thoughts went on to how he used to spend most of his time here. He didn't really like his owners; they ignored him anyways. Were those the kind of people ThunderClan was looking for? The golden assumed not. He saw some people walking outside of a store, and from the small amount of speak he could understand he heard the word 'out' and 'forest'. His tail wagging, he moved his head to the side and his tongue lolled, as he tried to look friendly. Rocky walked over to the housefolk, his tail wagging more fast. Some of them didn't pay much attention to him, though others were reaching through their pockets for what he thought was a treat.

The dog moved back, walking to the road and then over to the Twolegs, giving a bark. His eyes looked in the direction of the forest. Some of the Twolegs walked over to him, and he thought that the plan would work. The dog quickly ran across the road, avoiding cars as he waited for the Twolegs to come after him. He wasn't sure if some of them wanted to catch him, or if they only wanted to pet him, so with carefulness he led them back towards ThunderClan territory.

Flip backed away before taking her leave, trotting away from the alley. Her paws skimmed the pavement as she passed through the rows of shops, hardly sparing a glance for the fanciful displays of food and wares. A few cars passed along the main road, but she did not quicken her pace and move to hide from them. She was well-groomed enough to look like somebody's pet, if she just didn't act suspicious. Blending in with the small crowd of shoppers, she made her way towards the park.

Tourmaline sighed. She decided that the pack she'd joined probably wouldn't work out how she'd want. She trotted off, unsure where she'd go. At this moment, she just didn't want to be anywhere with plenty of people; she didn't care about how many dogs were in an area.

Calla entered a place where people were everywhere. She seemed to sense that she shouldn't be here and kept a low profile. She heard her stomach growl. She licked her jaws and peered at each of the stands and small shops. She spotted one where food, meat, in slices, could be picked off if a dog like her were smart enough. Keeping low, Calla approached from behind and when the human was turned away from her she snatched up a piece and bolted when the owner turned and lunged at her. She felt his fingers brush her fur and growled as she scrambled off at a distance after losing her pursuer. Panting, Calla set the food down and settled where she was. She feasted hungrily on the small prize, glad to have a chance at a meal in so long.

Duke padded happily down the street sniffing around. He blinked, food. Following his sharp nose the male came upon a fine diner at the end of the street. Well for him these were the best scraps. Going to the back alley the male sniffed around. Duke smiled, "I still got it." Hopping up he landed in the dumpster.

Samdy Friend looked around. She was new to this town. She had been rescued from the street. She was shopping with her family and wanted to go to the park. Her humans brought her to the park.

Calla looked up from her meal when she heard a voice nearby. She noticed a brown dog with white markings and tilted her head, licked at her lips before nodding to her."Hello." She torn into the rest of her meal and finished it quickly before getting to her feet."My name is Calla." she said politely.

Yuri smiled. She dipped her head in a friendly manner. "Nice to meet you Calla."she said. The duck tolling retriever grinned and stood up again.

Calla chuckled."Are you familiar with this place? I'm sort of new to it but expert in how the life of a stray works. Do you have a human?" Calla sat up and shook her fur. The malamute sneezed before offering what was left of her meal. It wasn't much but it was something to be kind over.

Yuri perked her uncropped ears. She listened to the two questions. "Yes. I'm familiar with this place."she said. "And yes, I do have a human."she says. "But, he let's me out often."she says.

Calla nodded."Interesting." She tilted her head and thought for a long while."I don't see why dogs could use humans." She smiled slightly."I've never been very good with them, you see." She glanced around and spotted a human girl walking towards them. A low growl came to Calla's throat but she ignored the human with all effort. She had a hurtful history with them.
