Waterfall

The male gasped and charged through the water, letting the current carry him faster he was soon up to the rapids. he balanced unsteadily on the stones, fiery fur looking dark as it was thick with water. He growled concentrating his yellow eyes on the brown figure below him. he leapt landing on the shallow bit of water that is behind every big stone in the water and reached out, his sharp teeth snicking into fernshades scruff the large young warrior hauled her into the shallow spot. There wasnt enough room for the both of them so he stepped out and smiled faintly before the swift water dragged him away

lavaplume let the river carry him down stream, he was aiming to find a spot where the river was less swift to get out. He yelped as sharp teeth dug into his scruff he barked "you idiot! im to heavy for you to lift by yourself!" he kicked out his back feet trying to find some sort of purchase so thatway fernshade wouldn't be dragged into the river by his waterlogged weight

Fernshade opened her left eyes slightly. "I don'ta caret." She tried to say through his scruff. "Don'ta do thata again." She held him tightly. She heard somehting snap and pulled him up slowly. I'm not weak either.

He grunted and found himself being pulled onto the log on his back, his legs curled up over his stomach instinctivley and grunted as he beheld fernshade, he grinned sheepishly and said "i would do it in an instant"

When Lavaplume said that,her face felt warm. "Shut...Shut up." She knew she was blushing. Fernshade turned to a weak voice on the shore. She shoved her ears forward. "Just hold it down alright?!" The fae then nodded to Lavaplume and started to run towards shore. She heard another snap. D,Dang it!

Scarletsoul watched as Lavaplume hauled Fernshade out of the water and vice versa, her muscles tense with worry and adrenaline. Hearing to hold the log steady as they crossed, Scarletsoul stood on one side of the log that was touching the shore line and placed both front-paws onto the log to steady it leaving Rainheart to grab the other side. No-one would've been able to predict the events happening in front of them but everything seemed to be under control... Maybe. Digging her claws into the ground, Scarlet rooted herself there making sure the log wouldn't jolt and throw the two warriors off.

Fernshade dashed towards shore. Her brown legs a blur. She jumped off and hit the sand. She then laid down on her side. "Too much in one day." The brown fae sighed and yawned.

the brute rolled onto his stomach standing up he flicked his tail and dashed after fernshade. His heart thumping loudly in his chest he put on a spurt of speed knocking fernshade off the log and onto the bank just as the log gave way. He flailed in seeming slow motion before he vanished into the turbulent waters, he resurfaced down stream coughing. His eyes shone and he yelled "YOU STUPID RIVER" having lost his temper he began devoting all of his energy on getting to shore, eventually he was gripping onto a rock that stuck out of the water

(Oi...again?)

Fernshade coughed as she heard the loud snapping sounds of the log. "Is everyone alright?" The brown fae sat up. She glanced around and noticed Rainheart and Scarletsoul. She glanced around wildly for an orange pelt.

Scarletsoul felt a part of her relax as Fernshade made it to shore but the female soon tensed up again seeing Lavaplume plummet into the water for the third time. "Oh come on!" She shouted in frustration at how StarClan wasn't at ALL helping to keep the warriors on land before racing further down the bank to where Lavaplume now struggled on a rock. Leaning forwards, Scarletsoul grabbed the orange male's scruff in her teeth and began to haul the water-logged wolf up out of the water using all her strength. Lavaplume was much bigger than she was and with his fur soaked Scarlet was surprised she could even hold the male above water and signalled with her tail to the others that she needed a bit of help.

He spluttered out water and snorted "its just not my day" he remarked almost with amusement, he got to his paws and said "we can probbaly leap from rock to rock Scarletsoul" he yanked himself out of her grip "lets go!" with enthusiasim he hauled his lanky body up onto the rock and narrowed his eyes, bunching his muscles he leapt from rock to rock and eventually to shore, once on shore he collapsed and rolled on his back, resting his fore legs on his stomach "whew... that was an adventure and half"

Scarletsoul smiled at Lava's remark, waited for him to reach the shore before she began to leap across the rocks and jumped after him onto the shore. Landing rather gracefully next to the male, Scarelt gave a huff of breath and sat down, shaking water that had sprayed on her pelt off onto the ground. "You're one heavy wolf." She chuckled teasingly, shooting Lava a wink to let him know she was only joking before looking over to see if Fernshade and Rainheart were both okay. "Everyone alright?" She asked after catching her breath back for a moment.

Scarletsoul shot a wary glance over at Fernhade as the female suggested hunting. "I think you two , motioning to Fern and Lava, "should rest for a minute before we even start to think about hunting. Catch your breath back, the current must've drained a lot of your energy out there." Scarlet explained and curled her tail around her paws. Fish would be the most likely prey around here although she could hear a few birds singing in the trees and there might be prey drinking from the water up-stream. "Plenty of opportunity, no rush." the female added with a small chuckle followed by a yawn.

Scarletsoul paused anxiously for a moment, looking around to check any sign of danger. "If you think you're up to it then we may as well... But take it easy." she barked and gave a small nod to Fernshade to let her know that she meant it. Fernshade may be more experienced than her but none of them knew anything about healing and with two warriors in fragile states, Scarlet felt very wary. Lifting her nose to the air, Scarletsoul cast around for any scents of prey in the area.

Lavaplume sat up and flicked his ears, he lifted his muzzle to the air and sucked in air. His tail shot up like a flag rising up a pole and he silently bounced up and down with excitement. Age had not mellowed the wolf and he would still act like apup on its first outing. He whispered loudly "i smell a stag!"

Scarletsoul nodded as she too had caught the scent on the wind. "And it's close!" she whispered back excitedly, though tried to stay calm as not to alert the stag they were there. "How do we want to plan this? I say two or maybe one wolves come at it from behind to scare it forwards straight towards where the other two will ambush it? I've only ever hunted one stag and that was when I was an apprentice with Thunderfang..." she trailed off remembering her old mentor who was now in StarClan. Giving her head a shake to clear her mind, Scarlet cleared her throat before asking in a steadier voice, "So what do you guys think?"

Fernshade licked her chops. She sniffed the air along with the Scarlet and Lavaplume. My scent's partially washed away... Better for hunting at least. The brown fae stalked after the two and peered from behind them. She narrowed his eyes. The stag let out a loud billow. Fern pinned her ears to her head and snorted. Loud and annoying...Was I like that when I was little? I have no one to tell me that now... Fernshade shook her head. Snap out of it! Whats wrong with you! Pay attention to whats at hand. The brown fae blinked at Scarletsoul. "Scaring it into the other's arms? Hm...Good idea." She blinked and pondered the thought for a second. "Lavaplume,you and Rainheart will hide farther down river,got it? Me and Scarletsoul will race after it. Good?" She waited in silence for their answers.

Scarletsoul nodded in agreement as Fernshade padded over to them. "Sure, that's fine with me." she barked, looking around to Lavaplume and Rainheart to see what they thought of the plan. The clan hadn't had a chance for a big meal like this in a long time. They had to get this right.

Fernshade turned to Lavaplume and Rainheart. How about you two? Are we going to agree or not?" A breeze bent the branches on trees nearby. The stag's scent was blow towards them. "Hurry before the wind changes.
