Old ShadowClan Camp

A camp is a site where a Clan makes its permanent home. It is where the wolves sleep, meet, bring fresh-kill,get treated for injuries or illness, receive orders, and make reports to the Clan leader or deputy. Some wolves, such as queens, kits and elders stay in the camp, while the warriors, deputy and leader patrol the territory and hunt. Each Clan has one camp.

ShadowClan camp is surrounded by prickly brambles and bushes and hidden in a well-concealed hollow. There are constant patrols sent out and the camp and borders are fiercely guarded. There is a small, always guarded path leading to and into the camp. The leader's den is located underneath a large oak tree. You must gain entrance and not enter the den without permission. Near the edge of the clearing of camp there is a large, smooth boulder used for meetings and announcements. Right next to that boulder, there is a smaller rock. Underneath this rock is a cave where the Medicine Wolf resides. Sick and injured Clan members visit and get aid there. The warrior's den is located underneath bramble bushes and is lined with moss and pine needles. There is also another thorn bush. This is the nursery where new born pups and their mothers live until the pups have grown.

Despite the fact that RiverClan and ShadowClan had combined, both camps are still used frequently by each Clan.

Lightningflash just listened as her leader, the pups, and the other wolves were communicating, her ears perking when the male stood up and walked away. She barked once and padded quickly yet calmly to them. "Just relax. Nightfeather, pups, please just relax. You're making him feel like he's being ganged up on. And all this talk of those berries is just going to put him on edge too." She said, making her way to stand near Shadestar. Then she looked at the male. "How about this. You and I can talk a walk through our territory and talk a bit. Just you and me. You are a strong large male and I'm a young female. I doubt I could take you down very quickly. Just trust me. We can find somewhere quiet and calm to talk, just you and me." She said, glancing at the others as if to say they are making this worse. "I'll tell you the full and honest truth. If you do run away, then I can almost guaruntee you you will be attacked by wolves that would attack us as well. So please. Just trust me and let's talk okay?" She said, her voice and posture a little less kind yet not aggressive. It was actually somewhat more bored and tired. Truthfully. This whole exchange of words was boring her and she was tired of the pups getting in the way and of Shadestar being so stubborn. She looked at his eyes, hers a unique blend of truthfulness and concern, something quite rare for the young wolf.

Ravenpup blinked suddenly loosing her temper, with authority she picked out the herbs that had been blended together and said "sniff them, you can tell that they arent poison, you can tell what these herbs are" she stared up at shadestar with a defiant look in her midnight blue eyes. she twitched her tail and flicked her ears at lightningflash silently saying to the perceptive she 'it would be easier if we did pin him down and force him to eat them'

Shadestar growled at the female wolf who offered to go on a walk with him. He would never want to be alone with one of them! Not now, anyway, with them coming ever closer to seemingly rip him apart. The male listened to the other female warrior (Nightfeather) and was about to reply when he stopped short. So they did somehow tamper with the rabbit! He was right! Her logic did faze him slightly, why would they go to all this trouble to kill someone like him? Perhaps this was some kind of reverse psychology. His golden eyes looked at the female white wolf, still laying down near the corner of the camp, who had informed him of all their past "memories" and how she was his sister. This would be an elaborate plan, just to get him to eat a rabbit. Turning his gaze back towards the prey's limp form, he took a step forward and sniffed it. He knew there were herbs there, since they already told him, but now he would either eat them and die or eat them and "regain memories" or perhaps nothing would happen at all. It was like some kind of sick russian roulette game. He pulled the bloodied fur of the rabbit towards him and stepped away from the others, sniffing it again. Looking up at the white-furred female again and then back to the rabbit, before taking a bite.

Waking up in his nest he yawned. He could barely feel his tiny sore paws. He then streched to try to make his paws regain consciences. Finally,with success he got up,but still felt wobbly. He then ran out into the clearing. Then noticed other wolves there and saw lots of them leaving. Then a gust of wind that nearly toppeled him over. He then tried to regain balance. With success he then smelled the air. It was chilly and crisp to the touch. There was also so many new smells. He then saw some of the other wolves leave. After that he followed them out the entranc.

Silentpup sighed with relief. He was so happy that finally Shadestar took a bite. Hopefully he was regaining memories right now. Silentpup knew that he would be Shadestars last memory. The stuck-up, dark, black pup. Though Silentpup didnt care about other peoples thoughts.
"Good on you Shadestar."

Ravenpup watched as her medicine began working, she knew that first it would blot out all of the memories that had happened while he had lost his memories and bring back his true memories, her eyes sparkled a little with excitement, soon her leader would be back to his grumpy old self, she watched with slight anxiety hoping that he had had enouh of the herbs to make him remember who he was and what he was.

Lightningflash ignored the little Ravenpup for a moment as she watched Shadestar take a tentative bite of the rabbit. /Good. Hes eating it. If that little black fluffy pup managed to work her herbs right then he should be back to normal in no time./ she thought, relaxing quite a bit more, enough that she actually gave a gentle cuff over Ravenpup's head playfully and crouched a bit toward her, a dark but relatively harmless look in her eyes as she wondered what the pup's reaction would be. Her tail wagged ever so gently but her ears were moving somewhere around her, trying to guage the other wolves' reactions.

Arriving back at camp,his nose was suddenly filled with familiar smells. He sighed [i]there were so many wolves,and so many new smells[i/] he then slumped into his nest,ad slept soundly.

Ravenpaw blinked then smiled rather shyly up at Lightningflash, she yawned tiredly she had travelled so far in that one day she was almost asleep on her feet. she playfully nipped lightning flashes nose and said "wake me if anything goes wrong" she murmured before turning and padding towards the nursery. she curled up in her tiny nest and yawned once more her midnight blue eyes glittered before she fell asleep.

Now this was a strange event, arriving at the camp to find himself out of touch with every wolf, leaf, and bug within the clearing. He hadn't meant to be so reclusive things just seemed to work out that way, leaving him thirsting for socialization like a wolf left in the desert for days. He craved, no, he NEEDED to talk to someone or else he would go insane! Never before had he been without another for so long, and although he did enjoy his moments of isolation this was just simply to much. There was no sign of his growing desperation as he he padded into the clearing his eyes lighting on every wolf as he took everything in, searching for familiar figures among the crowd, as he walked his eyes scanned missing nothing as he took in every figure. Sizing them up and committing their faces and scent to his memory as best he could before moving to look at another.

He paid little attention to the words being spoken, merely trying to decide who to speak with...did it really matter? No, he just needed to talk with another living being that was when he spotted Lightningflash and his face instantly brighten into a grin. Making his way silently over to his old friend the male quietly sat behind her, waiting to see if she noticed his presence. He wanted to call out or takle her to the earth in an over enthusiastic greeting; but he restrained himself and his growing desperation to speak quietly waiting as the seconds seemed to tick my at an agonizingly slow rate.

(Let us just say we have returned from the gathering now)

Trotting into the camp, Shadestar looked around to see the wolves who had already arrived. Now back at camp, the male leader was able to breath a sigh of relief. The constant watch of all of the wolves unnerved him slightly, especially after the episode that had happened so recently. It seemed it would take a while until he returned to his true self, though his quick temper seemed to never leave him. Trotting over to the high-rock, he jumped atop the hard surface and howled for a quick meeting before everyone could rest. They all clearly needed some sleep before duties tomorrow.

Skyfeather crept into camp just in time to hear Shadestar call a Clan meeting. She winced slightly at his loud howl but she ignored the pounding in her head that her thoughts created. With a sigh that she wouldn't be able to go rest, the she-wolf trotted to the middle of the clearing and sat down. Maybe the leader would be quick with whatever he wanted to say and she would get some sleep.

Apache's eyes lifted when Shadestar called for a meeting, oh how he wanted to talk to someone! But now with the sudden meeting he would be unable to speak until it was finished, standing the male made his way toward the crowd of gathering wolves, his eyes lightening when they feel upon the familiar form of Skyfeather. Picking up his pace the male moved in to sit beside her, putting his nose to her ear his whispered." Boo."

Skyfeather's head whipped around so fast that she heard something pop as she came face to face with Apachewind. An inner growl went through Sky's head. What was with males these days, they kept sneaking up on her. She gave her friend a smile and a swat of the tail, "Hey there. What've you been up to?" she asked tiredly.

The whole ordeal of the day, from start to finish, echoed through her mind. For many long moments she thought she was losing her brother forever, for he did not believe in the memories that they shared. Thoughts of what-ifs were jumbled, and it was these she was currently thinking about. Clashing emotions filled her: happiness, guilty regrets, thankfulness, and fear. Caught up in her thoughts, she did not go to the gathering as the others did. Lightdawn never really went to them anyway, and especially on this night when she had so much internal conflict to deal with. It came as a surprise to her when Shadestar and the others came bounding into the camp, and the male leader quickly jumped to the top of his podium to address everyone. Standing steadily onto her feet, she crept from her resting place to sit down beneath his large shadow. Peering about at those sitting around her, Lightdawn made a mental note to speak to Ravenpup, in order to express her thanks. If Shadestar hadn't already, the female wolf was planning on speaking to him about the scrap becoming a Medicine Wolf Apprentice, though she wasn't quite positive who would be mentoring the young pup. Although the pup did express her worries in peculiar ways, which all pups seemed to, apparently, saving her brother was something that could never be repaid, in her opinion at least.

Moving her gaze from the pup's small form, she turned to look at her brother and meet his golden eyes with hers.

Apache smiled at her, so grateful to have another speaking to him that he could have licked her then and there. But that would be anything but proper, in fact it would be rather rude and he may get his nose bitten off for such a sudden surprise. It seemed she was rather unhappy with his sudden appearance by the subtle what her eyes narrowed, but she did not express the irritation and it was quickly gone replaced by exhaustion. "Oh, here and there," he answered," I've mostly been practicing my night hunting and stalking skills, " He smiled mischievously, "It seems my practice has paid off."

His amusement soon vanished as worry creased his brow, "Are you okay my dear friend? Your beautiful form is blanketed with tiredness."Suddenly another wolf caught his eye as the form of Lightdawn, her body language sent waves of weariness, worry, and confusion toward him as she sat only a few feet away. "Excuse me miss," He said," I can't help but notice that such a lovely lady as yourself worried state, might I inquire as to what ails you?"

Lightningflash trotted into camp ater Shadestar, hearing his call for a meeting. She sighed and was about to curl up in the shade to listen when she spotted Skyfeather and Apachewind talking. Her paws instinctively carried her toward the male where she flicked her tail over his ear. "Hello Apachewind." She said gently, sitting next to him and smiling gently. Her tail was lazily draped behind her and her eye spoke of being a bit tired but her lean form was still straight and darkly pretty. Her ears twitched when she heard him speak to both Skyfeather and Lightdawn, darkness flashing through her eyes like lightning.

Skyfeather rolled her eyes as Apache started flirting with Lightdawn. Let him get in trouble if he so wishes. The female looked over as Lightningflash came to sit with them and dipped her head to the other she-wolf. She may not be very fond of her Clan member but she wouldn't not give them some acknowledgment.

Waking up in his chilly nest,he yawned. He heard shadestar come back and say something about a ceremony. He shrugged and padded out. He sat down in the shade of the.(whatever we have announcement on) He hoped to become an apprentice sine he was already 5 moons old. He shouldn't get his hopes up thought.

Lightdawn's thoughts were broken as a voice was heard from the side of her. Turning to see who was speaking to her in such a fashion, she saw Apachewind sitting there. She smiled at the male wolf. "It's been a long day is all." She said in response to his question, ignoring his flirtatious words. "How is being a warrior now suiting you, Apachewind?" she asked him, "I haven't seen you around much recently, either. It's nice to see you again."

Suddenly a tail swept over him and Apache turned to see Lightningflash a grin brightened his handsome features. "Why hello my dear Lightingflash, it has been far too long!" He said before turning to take in Lightdawn's words, he gave her a comforting smile before answering. "It feels like I am Apachewind, I have grown, no longer have a mentor, and my name has changed, but other then this I feel no different. Inside I still picture myself as the same wolf who has a lot to learn; and eager to do so." He saw Nightfeather his old mentor roll her eyes at him, he flashed her a mischievous smile, inviting her to join them.

Lightningflash nodded, her eyes sparkling as she looked at his grin. "Far too long dear." She replied, smiling. Then she glanced at Lightdawn before spotting Nightfeather and then looking back at Apachewind. She poked him with a paw. "And we never got to train together as apprentices Apachewind." Sh said. "I guess a practice battle someday soon would be nice to make up for it." She said, a hint of a playful chalange in her tone.
